At least 8 dead in Mass Shooting du Jour

So Kyle crossed state lines with a firearm,
No, he didn't.
took the firearm to a protest to ‘ protect businesses’ with which he had zero connection,
As have several others. But why are you so hostile toward those who sought to protect businesses and not at all toward those who were burning them down?
entered into conflict situations brandishing a loaded firearm—he was not the victim, whether or not his victims were good people.
Once he was attacked, he became a victim and had the right to defend himself. The "not guilty" verdict was just and the DA should never have prosecuted this case.
He went to the protests with a loaded firearm to prove how tuff he is and what a big man he is.
So did Gaige Grosskreutz. You have no problem with him. Why?
You mean the guy who was shot by Rittenhouse while acting as a medic? Yes, Grosskreutz was armed but he was carrying a legally possessed licensed firearm, unlike Rittenhouse who was startled by a plastic bag and ran away after shooting people. Rittenhouse was way way way above his skill level or his maturity level, provoked a response by those who quite rightly saw him as a danger and acted to try to disarm him.

It is worth noting that the only people killed were those killed by Rittenhouse, who should have stayed home in his mommy’s basement.
Indeed. He was there to keep the peace and demonstrated he lacked any skills prerequisite to do so, and the consequences were substantial.

Check this out, Tigers!

The last day entered was 5/12.
5 of them in that day.
I think we’d need a dedicated website.
This website uses a very loose definition of "mass shooting".
Hey, the Buckhead club shooting (Eleven45 Lounge) from a few days ago made the list.

Deadly Buckhead club shooting targeted 1 victim, APD chief says
AJC said:
The mood was somber Sunday in the neighborhood surrounding a Buckhead nightclub where two people were shot to death overnight at a venue that critics have complained has seen numerous violent acts in recent years.
[...]
Mari Creighton, 21, and Nakyris M. Ridley, 20, were killed, according to the medical examiner’s office. The other victims were two men and two women, all between the ages of 20 and 30, according to Channel 2 Action News. Creighton was a student at Albany State University.
[...]
Investigators believe there was one shooter targeting one other person inside the club, Schierbaum said. The suspect fired multiple shots, hitting and killing his suspected target as well as the the five others, who are thought to be bystanders, according to the chief.
Schierbaum said the suspect had been identified but remains at large.

So this one qualifies as a mass shooting only because the shooter decided to shoot his victim in a crowded nightclub and because he wasn't that good of a shot. It looks like Nakyris Ridley was most likely the target, given his past.

Teen carjacking suspect who led police on chase through Atlanta has long criminal history

From two years ago. I don't know why he wasn't in prison. Did Fani Willis give him a sweetheart deal?

I feel sorry for Mari Creighton, and the wounded innocent bystanders, not so much him. He was a menace.

Rittenhouse was defending himself from being attacked. He did not initiate any violence
Yeah, sure. Because provoking violence is not a thing that could ever possibly happen. :rolleyesa:
We discussed the Ritt case in detail. He did not provoke anything. Rosenbaum was angry and was itching to pick a fight. He also had serious mental health challenges, and in fact was just released from a facility. The plastic bag he had hurled at Ritt contained all his possessions.

You mean the guy who was shot by Rittenhouse while acting as a medic?
It was Ritt who was acting as a medic.
Yes, Grosskreutz was armed but he was carrying a legally possessed licensed firearm, unlike Rittenhouse who was startled by a plastic bag and ran away after shooting people.
He was not "startled" by the bag. Rosenbaum not only threw that bag at him, but also cornered him and went for the rifle. Only then did Ritt shoot him. We went over all this already.
Rittenhouse was way way way above his skill level or his maturity level, provoked a response by those who quite rightly saw him as a danger and acted to try to disarm him.
No, he was attacked by an angry pedophile gnome. Huber and Grosskreutz assumed that Ritt was a bad guy, rather than somebody who was attacked, and attacked him in turn. Bad decision on their part.
It is worth noting that the only people killed were those killed by Rittenhouse
He was also the one who was attacked. He only shot those attacking him as well.
, who should have stayed home in his mommy’s basement.
Same applies to the rioters.

Rittenhouse was never, ever acting as a medic. He had no training as such and carried no supplies.

I was unaware that a bag was cause to shoot someone.
