Black policeman shoots himself, on camera.

The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries, so it's okay to take this one lightly. Most security camera videos of police shootings are poorly lit and grainy. This is an exception. We have good lighting and color, as we watch a man take a pistol from his pocket, then try to put it back. There is no sound, so we don't know what he said, before or after he shot himself.

This is why one should keep a pistol in a holster. One would think that there'd be a police regulation about that.

Perhaps this?

It's obvious from the video that he was trying to wrestle the gun away from himself and had no choice but to shoot in self defense.

Yeah, but then he didn't even stand his ground. He just fell down.

Good thing he was hurt by the bullet. His wife would have given him hell if he shot himself and didn't end up scaring her half to death by bleeding everywhere.

So, since this incident involves a gun and a black guy getting shot I guess we are supposed to be outraged and protest, or something? Shut down freeways and make signs with catchy phrases? Not sure where to go with this...

Beave, this is the second thread wherein everyone else had really amusing quips, but your "jokes" come across as entirely mean-spirited and about as welcomed as a dog fart in a closed car.

Just sayin'

I guess you're referring to the woman getting gored by the bull for the other one. In both cases, I don't really understand the newsworthyness of the articles. They're both basically run of the mill "Darwin Award" type stories. Honestly, I don't know what the point of either of those two are. Perhaps you can enlighten me. Is there some social justice lesson to be learned in either of them?

Your reference to the "Darwin Awards" happened for a reason - the "Darwin Awards" series is popular because they are amusing in a cake-wreck sort of way. If you aren't interested in the OP topic, or can't see the point of it, you are allowed to skip the thread. No TFT TOU says you must post in every thread ;)

OK, sorry. In keeping with these sensitive times, from now on I will post a TRIGGER WARNING! message at the beginning of all my threads that could be construed to be snarky, annoying or mildly offensive. :)
