Reporters in Israel

This is anecdote.

The biased observations of ONE person.

Correction: It is blatant propaganda. Israel is a wierd country that is heavy on human rights violations and light on any real reason to exist. Repressive policies of its government generate hatred in the hearts of those they oppress. Israel to my way of looking at it is a 21st century nation with values that are about 2000 years behind the time. Israelis condemn the Palestinians for being 700 years out of date. The article is again attacking journalists and resentful of the fact that some of them do not cut Israel any slack for its killing, land thievery and destruction of Palestinian culture.

Israel is the only functioning democracy (along Western lines) in the region, where Arabs have representation in Parliament. There is also mistreatment of the Palestinians by occupying their farms and land. More Palestinians than Jews have been killed in the conflicts over the past few years.

However more DNA studies suggest that Palestinians and Jews are the same people:

Many genetic studies have demonstrated that most of the various Jewish ethnic divisions and the Palestinians and other Levantines, like the Druze[12][13][38][80] and Bedouin,[12][13] are genetically closer to each other than the Palestinians or European Jews are to non-Jewish Europeans or Africans.[12][13][101][101] They also found substantial genetic overlap between Muslim Palestinians and Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews, though with some significant differences that might be explainable by the geographical isolation of the Jews and by immigration of Arab tribes in the first millennium.[101] END OF QUOTE

Maybe we can say its the same people fighting over religion not unlike Europe used to be.

So, no notable journalist is willing to speak truth to power in the western media. And the PA is much better at handling the media than the IA.
I'm more inclined to think that over time western journalists did understand the situation, weighed the good and bad of both sides and the scales tipped in favor of Palestine. Since, journalists have come and gone and the details have been lost to history. Perhaps they're just guilty of being lazy. You'd think some old retired journalists would speak out. They're not answering to the man any longer. Old people love to tell it like it is.

There's plenty of good and bad on both sides. Unless you look at it as the people against the psychopaths in authority. Then the scales really tip.

They know which side of their bread is buttered.

Once in a while you do find examples of foreign reporters telling the truth and in those cases you find they admit they were telling what Hamas wanted them to say while they were over there. Not reporters that are ever going back there again, though!

All the genetic studies show is how much bullshit this entire conflict is. Israel is NOT A FULLY FUNCTIONAL DEMOCRACY...IF IT ALLOWS SERIOUS ABRIDGEMENT OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND CONFISCATION OF ARAB LANDS. Genetic studies actually mean nothing at all in my estimation. As your post indicates, we see competing sides in a conflict that are closer to each other genetically than they are to others. Neither side is loaded up with saintly people. Both sides seem bent on destruction of the other. We have no business taking sides. We could just outfit both sides with clubs and use modern hi tech stuff only for humanitarian purposes. It they don't approve of that, then we could just leave the area and take our military crap with us. I don't believe peace can ever be achieved from the barrel of a gun...it really is about that simple. These Jews and yes, some of the Arabs, are both hung up on violent solutions to their problems and can see no other way out. That is not because it is a fact, but rather because of their violent habits, owing to religions that respect and recommend violence. It is all the result of backward values and neither side deserves help perpetuating violence. We are as bad as they are when we sell or give these clowns cluster bombs, F-16's etc.

Where does it suggest they are "the same people"?

My Mistake. Over the past few hundred years races have been mixing somewhat so we can't claim a clear line.
I also forgot to include the following which may not be popular with the extremists on both sides

It would be interesting to see the research but I'm not sure he arrived at 90 percent beyond what he is saying about some Palestinians practicing certain Jewish rites.

majority of today's Palestinians are descended from the remnants of Jewish families who managed to avoid being deported over the past 2,000 years, or returned to their lands after they were exiled, as the Jews in the Holy Land suffered blow after blow - from the Roman destruction of the Temple to the Crusades to famine, poverty and war throughout the Middle Ages. One thing many were unable to avoid, however, was converting to Islam - a forced conversion that never really "took," done more out of fear than conviction. Misinai has made it his mission to spread the word among Palestinians, giving them the opportunity to retrieve their lost heritage
.

Really a lot more should be looked into this.

I couldn't disagree. There are no good and bad guys on each side but a mixture of the two. Think how much cheaper it would have been if they lived in one federation or nation and simply bought land at the market price. It also means a lot of people from Europe and the Middle East would like to settle on their somewhat holy land. The place could be a gold mine for tourism hotels (for those who could afford it) and property. Mind you this may also have ended up as the number 1 spot for economic migrants (and who can blame them). So the Walls built by the Israelis may still be there today.

Reporters give reports which may or may not be accurate. Usually they are too brief and generalized to allow proper analysis.
