What the fuck man, what the actual fuck?

:angryfist:

Couldn't she just have showed them her boobs?

Win win. :tonguea:
P.S.: She does look rather boyish. I can understand why the cops came to the conclusion they did. Also, it's not their fault the state passed that law.

won't work with trans-gender which is what policeman thought she was.

Of course the police did wrong (and the idiots that passed the law).
They could concluded that this probably was a girl and left it there.

Nothing surprises me any more. Western urban society is becoming so regulated that we may soon need to buy a permit in order to legally use a public toilet to take a leak.

People being required to expose themselves on demand to authority figures isn't my definition of a free society. And why was the male cop allowed in, because he had bitch tits?

That was obviously a female even if she wasn't wearing the state sanctioned paisley summer dress.

More than ironic, most of those police in the women's bathroom were men.

Which brings to mind the finding that Asian-American cops in SF we caught sending racist tweets ... San Francisco Police Chief Releases Officers’ Racist Texts http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/30/u...n-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0

Eugene O’Donnell, a former New York City police officer who is now a professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, said that racist texts in San Francisco were a marker of more complex and multicultural times. Two of the three officers are Asian-Americans.

A thought. How about exchanging guns for whistles and cell phones and paint shooters along with copcams. Show presence, identify perps, but, bring in back up to literally net the scofflaws.

How would we act if we see a person who looks like a male entering the ladies room? The reactions will differ from person to person from not bothering to panicking and maybe more.

As an obvious male I'll admit to accidentally walking into the ladies room back in high-school when I had to pee really bad, much to my friends' amusement without issue. A good friend's family also owns an Asian fusion restaurant on Old Street in London (PM me if anyone is in the area and wants info - really solid place) and they have a unisex bathroom too - the toilets are all private and the sinks are general access, and have been for years, without any issue whatsoever.

Regardless, the woman these male police officers removed from the ladies room was obviously female as indicated by the various people commenting in the video. Even by the standards of the newly passed law that passes muster. The requirement is that people use the bathroom that is designated by their birth certificate - not that they need to provide ID or dress a certain way to use it.

Well sometimes the signage can be a bit misleading.

I do not agree with the law, but she was not "obviously female". Obviously she cultivates the androgynous look on purpose. Also, what was up with her wild gesticulating. It looked quite ridiculous.

I'd say your radar needs calibrating, but regardless the law makes no mention of manner of dress.

Perhaps.

but regardless the law makes no mention of manner of dress.
Indeed. The cops behavior is paradoxically completely opposite to what the law says - it's not about how somebody presents themselves (i.e. it doesn't matter this girl looks boyish) but what sort of gender they were "assigned" at birth.
I doubt the cops went to the bathroom out of their own initiative though. Somebody must have complained that there was a man in there.

Btw, wouldn't the law technically mandate somebody like this use the ladies room?

That's how I read it at least.

Possibly - the key point is that it's a (n idiotic) matter of what the birth certificate says, not what the outward appearance is.

I could see how that could be screwed up by anyone who just glanced at it. I wonder how many people have gone into the wrong one. Personally I thought the ones at Joe's Crab Shack were better.

I don't think anyone will mistake which one to go inside, assuming they can see. Personally I think these bathroom laws are ridiculous. If someone is actually perving in the bathroom, I don't really care whether they're male, female, or transgender, they could be handled without these laws.
