(Reuters). Under relentless pressure to embrace the LBGT worldview, Christians have begun in what was a trickle, to line up to be crucified at Kill Devil Hills, N. Carolina. In North Carolina Kim Davis has been trying to raise spirits as Christians nail themselves to makeshift crosses. She encourages them to ignore the bystanders selling pink cotton candy and dick sticks. Ms. Davis implored the Christians to stay fast with Jesus, and not accept being forced to partake in this homonazi perversion saying “it is better to die on the cross than become part of this corruption”. The growing crowd started chanting to “bring out the lions” to great cheer.

Meanwhile in Whynot, Mississippi, Tony Perkins has been rallying Christians to stand strong against the LBGT demands. Mr. Perkins implored his followers to “not let them defile your bodies with demands of anal sex” and “do not let a gay couple demand to stay as a guest. Before letting your child be raped in a bathroom it is better that you yourself crucify your daughter in the name of God”. He promised those towards the back of the line that Gov. Phil Bryant would be there shortly to encourage them. When asked by reporters whether he or Gov. Bryant would be nailing themselves to the cross, Mr. Perkins promised that they would saying “absolutely we will. However, first we have to stay behind to encourage those to being harassed by hordes of people demanding love of their lifestyle”. He argued that otherwise too many souls could be lost as America decays into Sodom and Gomorrah. He promised to stay and suffer the consequences of this persecution so that others could be sanctified.

The drama and the madness.

To see being tolerant of others as a form of persecution is a mental illness.

If these people want to claim to speak for some god they have a whole lot of evidence to present.

Their presumption and unimaginable ignorance is not enough.

If this type of person wants to martyr themselves for their cause, I'm actually cool with that. If they're so wimpshit in their beliefs that they won't even die for them and are just playacting, then I care even less about what they're saying than they do.

This is satire, right?

Mostly yes, and a little no ;) Per the linky, Mississippi Gov. Bryant said this about the issue of LGBT rights and willingness to line up to be crucified:
"They don't know us very well, do they?" he asked. "They don't know that Christians have been persecuted throughout the ages. They don't know that if it takes crucifixion, we will stand in line before abandoning our faith and our belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So if we are going to stand, now is the time and this is the place."

These fuckwitts think that forcing them to not discriminate against other people is persecuting them. These extremists have conflated a rejection their '"morality" as law', to be a persecution of their faith.

They don't know that if it takes crucifixion, we will stand in line before abandoning our faith and our belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Meaning they will whine about being called bigoted.

Wait, you mean they won't actually line up and have themselves crucified? Holy hypocrisy batman!!!!

I don't know where you are right now. God bad because Christian make cross? God bad because homosexual want free stuff and special treatments? Oh, and equal rights, which (if fair) mean being treated as poorly as everyone else. If you think that was a bigoted thing to say, please stop discriminating.
In 2016 you can't express yourself and your faith without becoming exactly what you're accused of making someone else, apparently. You can't crucify yourself in public without degenerates making it all about them, and that is un-American. People have been crucifying themselves forever, but when they start doing it in NC, it is somehow everyone's business - especially people who don't believe in God, and that says it all.

Never underestimate what religious nuts will do to themselves.

"The Department of Health meanwhile often insists that participants in the rites should have tetanus shots and that the nails used should be sterilized."

Pffft…but that tis not even a scratch, let alone a real flesh wound. Look at those clean little faggot nail holes in their hands; and what are those wussy things that their feet are standing on? Come on when will a REAL Christian stand up and volunteer to be crucified like in the good Ol’ days? Hypocrites!

As long as you continue to misunderstand, you're not going to know where they are right now.
It's not that atheists say 'god is bad' it's that people who say they know what their gods want, and use it to hurt others, those are the bad.

Such as when they cast 'equality' as 'special treatment.'
Oh, and equal rights, which (if fair) mean being treated as poorly as everyone else. If you think that was a bigoted thing to say, please stop discriminating.
I think it's a stupid thing to say.
In 2016 you can't express yourself and your faith without becoming exactly what you're accused of making someone else, apparently.
Well, you have the free speech right to express yourself openly, sure.
When you try to force others to behave as if they agree with you, though, that's a problem.
You can't crucify yourself in public without degenerates making it all about them,
See, good example.
You can call christains degenerates all day long and no one will stop you. But if you try to deny sales or service to them because of nail holes or bloody shoes, you get into trouble.
People have been crucifying themselves forever, but when they start doing it in NC, it is somehow everyone's business - especially people who don't believe in God, and that says it all.
When people crucify themselves to celebrate Easter or some other pagan holiday, that's their business. When they do it as a protest against, say, the law of the land, that makes it everyone's business. Their whole POINT of calling for crucifixion rather than obeying the law is to make their stance part of everyone's business.
Come And Look At Me Bleed For My God, You Faggots!

If it wasn't supposed to be 'everyone's' business they wouldn't have made sure the press heard them call for this shit.

I'm ready to volunteer my services. I'll bring my own nails and hammer.

Seriously though, there are toads in my back yard with higher IQs.

Well Mississippi seems like they could really use your toads then, as they seem to be pretty short of a qualified governor.

Well, try starting from "God does not exist", and perhaps you will come to a better understanding.

Oh, and equal rights, which (if fair) mean being treated as poorly as everyone else.

Which would be better than where they were, which was being treated significantly more poorly than (most) everyone else.

If you think that was a bigoted thing to say, please stop discriminating.

It is not discrimination to think someone is saying things that make them appear bigoted.

In 2016 you can't express yourself and your faith without becoming exactly what you're accused of making someone else, apparently.

You can express yourself and your faith all you want, just like those who disagree with you can express themselves when their thoughts are contrary to yours.

You can't crucify yourself in public without degenerates making it all about them, and that is un-American.

You can't crucify yourself in public because, if done properly, crucifixion results in death, and suicide is either illegal, or assisting suicide is illegal, depending on which state you live in. Good luck crucifying yourself without assistance.

People have been crucifying themselves forever, but when they start doing it in NC, it is somehow everyone's business - especially people who don't believe in God, and that says it all.

First off, people have been crucifying each other forever. As noted, crucifying oneself is near to impossible.

Next, no one in NC is crucifying themselves, the OP was satire.

Finally, the act of crucifixion should be horrifying to everyone, regardless of their belief in God (or lack thereof), so someone doing such a horrible thing in public should be the business of everyone who is nearby and aware that such a thing is happening.

Nothing like self-persecution. The whole Jesus narrative was about a guy who was persecuted and then killed. People these days love pretending they are persecuted. The best part is when the people who generally have more options claim they are the ones being persecuted because it is legal for gays to marry.
People have been crucifying themselves forever...
Well, Jesus allegedly died, and they are reenacting Jesus's crucifixion. So if there is no death, then it is a sham devoted to getting attention.

Shouldn't they be doing it in a closet like Jesus said to do?

Jesus said all sorts of things. The important thing to remember is the parable of the rich man.

I think that his statement about praying in a closet and/or giving to charity privately is relevant here. He is (alleged anyway) to have said that you can't go out in public and do X to get attention while still doing X to be a good person and I've paraphrased this.
