Is he cancer worthy? I don't know his crimes.
What is the contention here?
Does God hand out earthly retribution in the form of treatable diseases and this is just one example, or is the fact that Dimon is not expected to die a painful death in the immediate future, counter evidence of God?

"proof that there is a god" is just a euphemism, a mild phrase that embodies the emotional content of 'I hope you die in unending agony, you motherfucking prick' without frightening children by gloating too readily over another's suffering.

Well god really gave it to him by having two of his brothers murdered.

Maybe the first two were near misses, and Ted was the target all along.

I thought cancer was part of the problem of evil thing.
No reason that it can't be part of the solution of evil at the same time.

It is, but as far as theists are concerned, the existence of evil is proof of the existence and benevolence of god.

The only existing reality regarding cancer, theists need to be educated about, is that there is no agent pulling strings to use it as a form of punishment or to "test believers" so that they "can glorify god". Cancer does not discriminate. It just strikes. It has no purpose. Does not serve any purpose. It affects millions each year and among those millions so many will meet a terminal prognosis. Others keep fighting, prolonging their remission with the "hope for a cure" being what motivates them to keep fighting.
Each time I have undergone treatments, I shared the treatment room environment with strangers I know nothing about. And it really does not matter to me what kind of person they may be. The only thing I feel and think is : they are my fellow human beings who experience what I experience as a cancer patient. They all have the same moments of fear, the same moments of discouragement and moments of hope as they "graduate" from their treatments and are given a good prognosis...for a few more years until a relapse. And also the same moments of valuing things we did not value before. Of not taking for granted any longer what we used to take for granted.
We share in common our humanity while branded with an illness which can either bring the best out of us or take us down to the level of considering "but...but I have been a good person and I got cancer!" or " well , he/she deserves it".

I could be wrong, but I think the vast majority of liberals believe that no one in his position can ethically make the money he does.Is he cancer worthy? I don't know his crimes.
It is often a religious contention that all people who do evil things will be punished for it in the end. In a way it is how people define themselves by choosing a God that fits the need for justice. There has to be a day of redemption for all. What's really telling is that evil doers can't simply have a epiphany of what they did wrong and the hurt they caused, they have to suffer well beyond any meaning of justice.
