It’s the end of the world as we know it. An all-red heifer was born at the Temple of Israel on Sept. 4, fulfilling a biblical prophecy to “reinstate purity to the world and the rebuilding of the Holy Temple,” according to the temple’s YouTube announcement.
The sacrifice of a red heifer is essential to the construction of a third temple in Jerusalem, which would bring the coming of the Messiah and the final judgment.

Then all you atheists will be sorry!

There have been at least two threads on this subject already you may have missed:

Out of curiosity, just what is the age window for the animal sacrifice? When will it be old enough? When will it be too old?

I thought that Mary Magdalene already brought about the Messiah's coming.

You fugure one q\will pop up sooner or later.

The thing is American Evangelicals have reached a reproachment of sorts over recent decades with Jews because they believe rebuilding the temple is a precursor for the return of JC.

Without a doubt the greatest lover of all time--if the preachers can be believed.

Every time I turn on the TV some televangelist is proclaiming, "Jesus is coming. Again!"

What's really messed up is that a lot of the time a woman screams out his name during sex, they also go and scream out his dad's name.

That's got to give a kid some kind of complex.

From a documentary I watched in the gospel times the temple was big business just like a corporation today.

There was a steady stream of live animals in for personal sacrifices and dead animals out.

I confess I am deeply curious about how all this will play out; it would be interesting if an individual actually gained traction as a Messiah following this claim, as happened with the Ahmadis in Punjab. A fourth front, as it were, for the Israeli leadership to contend with.

David Koresh claimed to be the Messiah and it played out as a siege against his compound with him and all his followers being killed.

I noticed that we have pretty much forgotten him so don't celebrate Koreshmass.

The Mahdi Ahmad, on the other hand, has quite an ongoing legacy. Messianic claims are strongly affected by the social and political climate into which they are accepted or rejected.

There is an Hispanic in the southwest who claims to be the second coming and has a following.

In the 60s some considered Bob Dylan a prophet interrupting odd lyrics, and were horrified when he went to electric guitar and on to country music. As he put it if people find some meaning in his lyrics that is up to them.

There are numerous Christian preachers with a following who see themselves as a prophet anointed by god. You can watch them on TV.

The Israelis already have to contend with internal sectarian violence, without a false messiah. It's only going to get worse.

It isninterestingbto note that Israel after debate over secular vs theocracy was founded as a secular state. Netanyahu made a bargain with the ultra conservatives to keep his coalition in power for so long.

I doubt any kind of messiah would gain traction is Israel outside of a few.

The Israeli principle of letting religious groups handle their own civil affairs like marriage was taken from the Ottomans.
