Frankly, she cannot be allowed to step down or leave office. It's a horrible situation, but the courts are stacked enough with far-right SCOTUS's which will set your country back years.

I cannot imagine why the 'left' (sorry, i know you hate the term!) as voters don't seem to be as bothered about the supreme court as the 'right'.

Republican Voters who claim not to be Trump supporters voted for him as they knew the importance of filling that SCOTUS seat the Republicans stole from Obama. They've even managed to get another one pushed through.

Yet another far-right SCOTUS would be irredeemably bad news for your country.

Oh that's horrible. Elderly people face a much worse falling risk and fractures of brittle bones - hips, femurs - can be a life threatening injury at that age. She will probably have to retire.
Perhaps Mr Trump will look for a (conservative) female candidate to replace her. If he's strategic/smart he'll nominate someone with #metoo credentials who's been sexually assaulted but never reported the incident.

In 2009 she was "only" 76. And she believed, along with almost everybody else, that Hillary was a shoo-in.

Apparently she had colon cancer in 1999 and pancreatic cancer in 2009. So I guess Terrell is right. Despite being only 76, she has had some serious medical issues that would have recommended retirement at that time.
