Heart Breaking Video of Men Doing Ship-Breaking Jobs. What do the Feminists on this board think?

This is a terrible video which shows the grueling conditions these men work in just to get a few dollars per day.

While watching this, I started noticing the hypocrisy of feminists. How come they don't fight to do jobs like these?

I saw this comment on the video and I realized other people can notice it right away too:

"Is this the male privilege feminists talk about? I wish feminists fought for equal representation in ship breaking yards, instead of equal representation in fortune 500 companies."

There's something deeply wrong with feminists saying that it's OK to leave the hard dirty jobs to the men while they only fight for the cushy air conditioned office jobs.

What are your thoughts on this?

Why aren't the women there fighting to work alongside their husbands in the shipyard? Maybe these specific women believe that only men can do jobs like these? But, this wold be sexist.

And I guarantee these women do more back breaking work than you will ever do in you lilly-white pussifed "I'm not smart enough to be an engineer so I'll do marketing instead" job.

You are asking why US women are not fighting to get work in Sri Lanka / India? I think India has laws about allowing foreigners to take work there... ironically. Male or female alike cannot just decide to move to India and work anywhere they want.

What women were fighting for in the 1960's was the right to choose to work in jobs that were considered "men's work" without being discriminated against. This type of job inclusive. Just because they CAN does not mean that they SHOULD want to.. it's the principle of equality that is undermined by the idea that IF they wanted to do that job they would be "allowed" to.
I don't want to be a nurse, or a secretary, or a typist, or a maid, or a waitress.. or any other job that historically was considered "women's work". It's not in my skillset or interest. But if I wanted to, I should not be discriminated against for choosing such a career.
Women in India have bigger problems than achieving complete equality in all industries.. like.. getting any equality in anything might be a good start for them over there.
Over here, women wanted to be "allowed" to succeed as doctors and lawyers and other things... being a ship-breaker was pretty far down the list and still is. Because when I see TV commercials like the new ad from Indeed.com which shows a woman being passed over for a promotion for VP of the company and the commercial implies she was passed over because she's a woman and not because she isn't qualified enough. Then "interview request" from another company shows up on her phone and she gets happy. Seeing commercials like this in America about the "struggle of women" while having knowledge of the conditions other people work in in other countries makes it seem like one big joke.

I never said they can't do these jobs, just that they never seem to want to do the tough work. Those mountain mama's you posted are all well and good, but I guarantee they laugh at women complaining about the AC in their office buildings.

Because the majority of them do not fight for those rights. They go to the women's march and wear stupid pink pussy hats instead.

What I was pointing out is that male privilege has been dismantled. If it was only men who got the cushy office jobs and the women had the back breaking labor jobs that the majority of men do, then you can argue men are privileged. But, since the majority of back breaking labor jobs go to men, there is no such thing as male privilege. It's a fantasy concocted by feminists.

Working for low pay in crappy conditions does not equal privilege. It's the complete opposite.
