Forgery suspect killed by cop restricting his airway

Agreed. That would be like blaming Trump for losing your car keys.

Oh good. Frankly I was pretty uncomfortable agreeing with you. Take your meds, and you won't see big bad government purposely releasing convicted criminals just so they have room for quarantine violators.

Posted a few paragraphs after accusing people of screaming Russian conspiracy deluded.

I recently left California. I'm sure you've seen differently where you are. Are you trying to tell me "they don't do that in Sidney so they don't do that in Los Angeles"? Sure.

Instruct jails to release criminals to make room for quarantine violators? Nope, not a thing in Sydney, nor I suspect anywhere else.

Fuck Antifa.

Note it was the protesters who stopped the vandal and turned him(?) over to the police who were just standing there and watching.

I'm sure that many of the protesters are non-violent and understand how bad behavior will poison any message. But if a result of the current chaos is that Antifa becomes ridiculed, even by BLM, well, then huzzah. Fuck Antifa.

So white guy burned the Nashville Court house. Sounds like a master race specimen. Allegedly arrested before shooting heroin in a car with two kids in it... the car not the heroin.

Oh, yeah. The Antifa douche bags are out in force.

How'd you verify that he's a member of Antifa? Did you see him with a protest sign?

You know he'd go in your ethnostate, right?

Look at the politics forum here at this site. How many issues get resolved? How much agreement is found?

Everything would get resolved if you all saw things my way. :p

Reminds me of a line by a character played by John Turturro in a film I can’t remember the name of, when he was arguing with someone, “There’s two ways we can do this. There’s the right way, and there’s my way.” And then after a brief pause (shouting), “And they’re both the same way!”

This is something like the Weimar Republic. It had a much stronger response to threats from the Left than to threats from the Right. On the Left: the Bavarian Soviet republic. On the Right: the Kapp Putsch and the Beer Hall Putsch.

You said that before. Already on reruns?
There was a good reason Bavarian Soviet Republic was seen as a major threat - the Bolsheviks had just taken over a major European power, Russia, and imposed a communist dictatorship.

The Weimar officials could not have seen the future; they dealt with the information they had.

But some on here want lawbreakers only arrested when they are white (example: Elixir).
That is untrue. Elixir wrote "I'd be all for it if they rounded up this guy and those like him. -You know, the WHITE people who actually started doing that shit." where the "all for it" was rounding up all the looters and rioters and making them clean up and rebuild.

You quoted the whole thing, so why do you ignore his qualification that he is only for arresting these thugs if they are white?

I guess that explains police arresting the truck driver who tried to avoid becoming the next Reginald Denny instead of arresting rioters who blockaded the interstate (yet again).

No injuries reported, driver arrested after truck drives into crowd of protesters in Minneapolis

I have said repeatedly over the years that if you allow extremists to blockade highways with no consequences, you invite more extreme riots in the future. I guess I was proven right. :(

Minnesota AG Keith Ellison to take lead in George Floyd case: governor | TheHill
Gov. Tim Walz (D) announced Sunday that Ellison would lead the state's prosecution of anyone found to be possibly liable for Floyd's death, adding that the former U.S. House member had the experience needed to head up the case, NBC News reported.

"This decision is one that I feel takes us in that direction and the step to start getting the justice for George Floyd," Walz said, according to NBC.

De Blasio's daughter arrested in NYC protest: reports | TheHill
Chiara de Blasio, the 25-year-old daughter of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D), was arrested during a protest in the city over the weekend, according to local reports.

The New York Post and WABC, both citing local law enforcement sources, reported on Sunday that the mayor’s daughter was arrested for unlawful assembly the night before. She was allegedly arrested after she and other protesters refused to unblock a street in Manhattan.

That truck driver was speeding on a road that had been officially temporarily closed (apparently he managed to get around the ‘road closed’ signs). Looked like the huge truck was doing about 50mph. There were hundreds of people in the road, there could have been many fatalities. And it looked to me like a peaceful protest in that instance, not a riot, albeit the protesters may have illegally blocked the road. One can understand the driver’s frustration, but still.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio defends police after video shows NYPD SUV driving into protesters

Mayor Bill De Blasio Addresses Video Of NYPD Cruiser Driving Into Protesters: ‘I’m Not Gonna Blame Officers Who Are Trying To Deal With An Absolutely Impossible Situation’ – CBS New York
“In a situation like that, it’s a very, very tense situation. And imagine what it would be like, you’re just trying to do your job and then you see hundreds of people converging upon you. I’m not gonna blame officers who are trying to deal with an absolutely impossible situation,” de Blasio said. “The folks who were converging on that police car did the wrong thing to begin with and they created an untenable situation. I wish the officers had found a different approach. But let’s begin at the beginning. The protesters in that video did the wrong thing to surround them, surround that police car, period.”

There comes a point where it changes from harassment to an actual threat. They even say the protesters were throwing "trash" at the vehicle--what else were they throwing?

Nothing especially dangerous that I could see. That said, the police in the car didn’t know what might have been coming next. They were quickly being surrounded (mostly by young, white people in this case as it so happens, as far as I could see) and it’s true that in other places police cars have been set on fire.

I think the police (both cars) acted irresponsibly, and I think police should be held to a high standard regarding restraint and deescalation if possible, but I can also see how they might have felt under threat.

It’s fortunate that no one was seriously hurt.
