Basic Beliefs
that people in the US are living in the matrx
Trump was actually telling the truth all along. That Russia Gate was a Clinton financed conspiracy to frame Trump as a Russia stooge. And that the intelligence community aka "deep state" are also very deeply corrupted.

After 4 years we are learning the truth Clinton did actually pay for a witch hunt Trump claimed it was. Mueller had to have known about this the entire time but for some reason didn't mention a word of it in his report. Media favorites like Maddow kept crowing “what Russia has against Trump might be frightening!”

And the scariest part for our democracy is what our own senate leader had to say to everyone: “Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” ~ Sen Chuck Schumer, 2016. When our intelligence community conspires with a political candidate to subvert a POTUS election just how are the American people ever to trust them again? Is it any wonder some of the American people tried to tear down the capital grounds?

Also makes me wonder what could have been. I believe Bernie Sanders could and should have been president if he would just have had the stones to call all of this crap out. Bernie had integrity but he was also a big pussy. Sanders knew the truth and just sat there letting Russia Gate go on with Hillary while she put the knife in his back.

Imagine having believed the Russia hoax story for four years and then realizing you've been had. Gotta be hard for some folks. Need time to digest.

The Washington Post corrects, removes parts of two stories regarding the Steele dossier

The Washington Post on Friday took the unusual step of correcting and removing large portions of two articles, published in March 2017 and February 2019, that had identified a Belarusian American businessman as a key source of the “Steele dossier,” a collection of largely unverified reports that claimed the Russian government had compromising information about then-candidate Donald Trump.
Source D, according to the dossier, alleged that Russian intelligence had learned that Trump had hired Russian prostitutes to defile a Moscow hotel room once occupied by President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama and possessed a video recording of the incident.
The allegation, which the dossier said was confirmed by a second person described only as “Source E,” has never been substantiated.
Steele’s dossier consisted of raw information and unconfirmed tips from unidentified sources, which he compiled as part of a political opposition-research project for an investigative firm working on behalf of the Hillary Clinton 2016 presidential campaign.
The Steele dossier was a basis for the FBI’s legal arguments for surveillance of Carter Page, a former Trump campaign adviser, during the 2016 campaign. A Justice Department inspector general later criticized the agency for failing to note doubts about the veracity of the information in its application for court approval of the surveillance.
The 2017 and 2019 stories were written by veteran reporters Rosalind S. Helderman and Tom Hamburger. They declined to comment.
Why? Oh, what a shit show.

The OP is pretty much hysterical Trumpsucker truthiness.

According to Politico:
"The special counsel probing the origins of the investigation into ties between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia has brought false-statement charges against a Washington-based foreign policy researcher and Russian emigre who was a key source for an intelligence dossier that played an important role in the early stages of the FBI inquiry.

The researcher, Igor Danchenko, 43, was arrested Thursday in Northern Virginia on an indictment that special counsel John Durham obtained charging the Russian-born researcher with five felony counts of making false statements to the FBI.....

Prosecutors allege that in a series of interviews with the FBI, Danchenko fabricated details and altered the sequence of key events he described that related to the so-called dossier. The indictment also alleges that he was working closely with at least one individual close to Clinton’s presidential campaign and that Danchenko falsely denied having contact with that person." Furthermore, this revelation
doesn't fundamentally change our understanding of Trump and his relationship to Russia. This didn't prompt special prosecutor Robert Mueller's investigations. He had questionable business dealings there. Trump wanted help from the Russians against Hillary Clinton. The Russians did interfere in the elections and Trump denied it. And you can base that on the bipartisan Senate Intelligence report. But no one ever found any proof of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. source: NPR Report

Hm, maybe that is why Democrats insist that Trump supporters are crazy to think there was election meddling to elect Biden - they spent 4 years believing a crazy conspiracy theory about election meddling, and don't want to get burned again.

Hm, maybe that is why Democrats insist that Trump supporters are crazy to think there was election meddling to elect Biden
Yeah, the number of people who plead guilty, the amount of people who were found guilty and the Attorney General actively obstructing the investigation to the "Russian Hoax" is equivalent to Italian satellites working in cahoots with China and Hugo Chavez to steal the election whilst propping up the bamboo trade in South East Asia.

I have mentioned this arrest in the original RussiaGate thread.
Benghazi, on the other hand, was completely legit
There are assholes on both sides. There are more on republican side of course, but there are democratic assholes, or rather assholes who choose to make money working for democrats.

Yeah, the number of people who plead guilty
Guilty to what exactly though? Were any of them found guilty of election meddling?
Paul Manafort, who gave polling data to a Russian operative,:
On November 26, 2018, Mueller reported that Manafort violated his plea deal by repeatedly lying to investigators. On February 13, 2019, D.C. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson concurred, voiding the plea deal.[23][24][25] On March 7, 2019, Judge T. S. Ellis III sentenced Manafort to 47 months in prison.[26][27][28] On March 13, 2019, Jackson sentenced Manafort to an additional 43 months in prison.[29][30] Minutes after his sentencing, New York state prosecutors charged Manafort with sixteen state felonies.[31] On December 18, 2019, the state charges against him were dismissed because of the doctrine of double jeopardy.[32][33][34] The Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee concluded in August 2020 that Manafort's ties to individuals connected to Russian intelligence while he was Trump's campaign manager "represented a grave counterintelligence threat" by creating opportunities for "Russian intelligence services to exert influence over, and acquire confidential information on, the Trump campaign."[35]

He was found guilty of lying to investigators. He was sentenced for lying to investigators.

Did he also pay for the Steele Dossier?
There are none so blind as those who will not see.
Manafort was prosecuted in two federal courts. In August 2018, he stood trial in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and was convicted on eight charges of tax and bank fraud. Manafort was next prosecuted on ten other charges, but this effort ended in a mistrial with Manafort later admitting his guilt.[19][20][21] In the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, Manafort pled guilty to two charges of conspiracy to defraud the United States and witness tampering,[22] while agreeing to cooperate with prosecutors.

Tax fraud, bank fraud, lying to investigators ... something is missing.
What did he lie about? Where did the money come from that caused him to commit bank and tax fraud? You can't be that obtuse.

I'll repeat the quote:
The Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee concluded in August 2020 that Manafort's ties to individuals connected to Russian intelligence while he was Trump's campaign manager "represented a grave counterintelligence threat" by creating opportunities for "Russian intelligence services to exert influence over, and acquire confidential information on, the Trump campaign."[35]
