We need to marry AI with human interface and Virtual/Augmented reality to fully encompass the relation between man, computer and information. For the latter fields  Ivan Sutherland and  J. C. R. Licklider need be introduced along with  Claude Shannon who brought information to mathematics and Science.

Of all those disciplines the least successful to date is AI.
