The Context of Godhood

.....For my own purposes, I have created a universe. I didn't create it explicitly for the purposes of this thread and I am far from the only person who has spoken the words of creation from whence this universe happened. But nonetheless I spoke the words and now a whole universe ticks merrily along under my not-very-watchful eye.
Are you talking about giving voice commands to an AI that then handled the details? That is similar to:
https://talkfreethought.org/showthr...-system-GPT-3-and-generating-images-from-text

....Interestingly, I find myself limited in how I can interact: I can either be an individual there, or I can be able to know anything, or I can drive some group together towards a goal... But I can't do all at the same time. This is more a limitation of the platform though on which I am a god....
Humans have a small number of chunks that they can be aware of at a time... perhaps in the future post-humans could be far less limited. Also AI could summarize many things at once into a user-friendly display.... and when the god thinks of something they want to know (like the number of hairs on a person's head) the system could instantly give them that information....

No, I'm talking about arduous modifications I made to some settings and RAW files.

As to how I can know things, I'm a bit more limited in that respect. To elaborate more, the world I created is a Dwarf Fortress world. It has three "modes" of operation on any given world: legends mode, which allows data export in a parsable format; fortress mode, which allows control of an entire outpost but have no direct interactions available outside it; and then adventurer mode, wherein you can create a number of individuals and drive them around and interact as any individual in the world might, talking with people, arguing, composing music, and beating paraplegic toothless horses.

The tooling available to actually be omnipotent is DFHack, which allows all manner of fuckery assuming you know how to operate it.

I can see exactly two "chunks" in any given direction. My global omnipotence can only be updated by retiring from any active modes and spinning up the legends viewer... Or making a copy of the world and doing those same things, granted the events reflected won't be perfectly "true", as it advances the clock by 14 days, which represents 14 days of drift that the new "legends" file will have that the actual world will not have experienced. Most of those 14 days will be abstracted the same way, so it gives a brief precognitive potential, I suppose.

When talking about knowing things, all that is already instant from the context of the universe: I just stop time for long enough to find out. It's really just a cheap trick no matter how impressive it may seem to the denizens of the universe I God for.

A lot of it comes down to the fact that the person who actually put together the simulation process in the first place didn't really intend to give creators of these worlds Godhood after this fashion.

At any rate, because I control the passage of time down to the planck-second of the universe, there's really no difference, from the world's perspective, between my ghetto-ass cheap trick omnipotence and any AI assist style omnipotence you suggest. I simultaneously know everything in the universe, and know extremely little, depending on the context in which I am encountered. Like, I couldn't tell you the names of the dwarves that live in the fortress I created in our context, but if someone in that universe asked me, I would instantly be able to tell that person their own life story, verbatim, perhaps even events which the universe itself had culled from record. I could tell them exactly what events in their life had made them the individuals they are in that moment. But the thing is, I can only be omnipotent in "Dwarf Time" not in "Real Time".

Now, this universe is real and concrete. I can point to it, give it a slap on the back side, talk dirty to it and then delete it like I were Ted Cruz the Zodiac Killer.

If I had made THIS universe instead of that one would you worship me? I mean, I pretty much assume you wouldn't. And even if I had made THIS universe, I would not want you to worship me anyway.

There are millions of people who believe not only that God is real but that God is Good and worthy of worship, just for the assumption that he made the universe exist.

At least I don't have to worry about suffering in Hell for my universe... While Hell is actually a place there, it's not where dead folks go when they die. Really, they don't go anywhere, unless of course I fail to bury or memorialize someone and they get spun back up as a ghost so as to bother the living or those raised up as zombies or skeletons or created from unholy experiments, none of which I have plans of actually doing.

I mean I could go there and fight some demons or whatever (or enslave a demon and make that fucker do all the hard work), but again, why?

...To elaborate more, the world I created is a Dwarf Fortress world
It looks like it is a 2D or 2.5D world though I guess NPC consciousness is conceivable...

Good point.

I think the reason why the angels worshipped God was because it was God's plan. I think the worship of God in Revelation was also his plan..

In the OT and NT God commands humans to love him with all of their heart, mind, and soul.

And in the world I created, the dwarves believe Nar told them to do the same thing. Maybe he did. Nar also freed a demon and allowed said demon to be bound to the material world so that he could raise up a goblin fortress that regularly attacks the dwarves who worship him. And he absolutely doesn't have a heaven waiting for them. And he also didn't actually create anything.
