Covid vaxx may destroy the immune system - Study

A new study. Looks like Moderna knew about immune imprinting.

Of course they did.

Igor explains. https://igorchudov.substack.com/p/moderna-knew-vaccinated-people-will?s=r

The antibodies from the vaxx recognize a smaller part of the virus.
A breakthrough infection in "vaccinated" people produce far less protection than in the unvaxxed.
It gets worse the more shots you have.

What you fail to realize is that immune imprinting will happen with whatever version you see first. Infection causes no less imprinting than vaccination. It's how your body defends itself.

And note that a less than perfect response is a lot better than the non-response of someone who has never been exposed. And, yes, a breakthrough infection produces less protection because it's milder. Once again you're pretending there's something ominous about how the immune system works and you fail to understand the cost of the approach you favor. You tout the protection provided by infection, never mind the risk and the fact that it failed against Omicron and even the protection from Omicron is failing against the latest variants of Omicron.

I'm going to shoot at you. Do you want this ballistic vest which will stop the bullet but dump the energy into you, or do you want this 2" I-beam which will completely stop the round if it happens to hit the beam and do nothing otherwise?

From the study:
"for any given viral copy number, the odds of anti-N seropositivity were 13.67 times higher for the
placebo arm than the vaccine arm (95% CI 5.17, 36.16)"

Immune imprinting or OAS is what Bossche is talking about i suppose. That naturally induced antibodies are outcompeted by these generated from the vaxx that may even enhance infection.
(Emphasis added)
In other words, you don't understand his argument, you're taking it on faith because it supports your point of view. Have you noticed that this is a mostly atheist board? We're not inclined to take things on faith!

And you've got it wrong, anyway. Vaccines don't directly make antibodies in the first place. Vaccines are harmless or near-harmless versions of the disease. The body gets to have a practice fight against them and produces suitable antibodies. When the real disease comes along the body recognizes that the antibodies it already knows how to make work against it and it produces a flood of them. There is no issue of competition. When the existing antibodies fail to attack the body responds by making a whole bunch of random antibodies until it stumbles on something that works--the same thing it did originally with the vaccine.

So what motivates a new account to spam grifter quackery from Berenson er al. Is it multilevel internet marketing for the grift or is it deliberate organized disinformation by an entity such as a government or corporation that stands to gain from hurting the companies that make the vaccines? Why is this being pushed on a tiny political forum on a tiny corner of the internet? Is this like Cargill and Russia spreading disinformation about GMO crops into every crevice of the web via both bots and paid agents?

I doubt you'll get a straight answer from our newest member, but I wonder about that, too.

For starters, discussion forums are not exactly the hip, happening thing on the internet right now. There has to be more profitable targets out there for scammers, or more fertile ground for spreading propaganda. This place is a quiet little corner of the internet for a few like-minded (mostly) people to commiserate. I can kinda understand why someone determined to "spread the Good Word 'O Jesus" would come here to evangelize and collect some Proselytizing Points for a "checkmate, atheists" post or two, but this crap?

Facebook and Twitter would get a lot more "reach." There's probably a multitude more even on places like Gettr or Parler who would be open to this sort of stuff. Maybe jdf5 just drew the short straw? "Yeah, I got a thousand likes on my anti-vax post on FB. What did you get, jdf5? What's an IIDB? Wow. Your message is reaching literally dozens."

Well, "Will Wiley" came here to convince us that Ukraine shot down a commercial flight and then Stump for Trump before that alias disappeared in early 2017. Not sure how they come to select their targets. Will Wiley was also active at Metabunk.org at the same time as here and disappeared from both places about the same time.

I expect places like this serve as really good testing grounds for troll farms. This place is downright corrosive to misinformation, so it makes a good study on such launches.
