Don't be a dick.
I just noticed Disney + now has Deadpool available. I had heard they wouldn't include it due to the saucy language and nudity, but there it is, boobs, asses, and all the shits fucks included. I wonder what made them decide to change their minds ($).

They are also adding the Logan movie. So a little leeway for their Marvel properties at least.

The original arrangement was that children's fare went on Disney+, mature properties on Hulu. But it was always difficult to draw a strict line, especially when that line ran straight through the middle of lucrative franchises like Marvel. They have actually uploaded quite a few "adult" titles to Disney+ recently ("Logan" also made an appearance this week) which has deepened their rift with the conservative political sphere. I wonder whether it's continued fallout from the Florida affair, and the company reckoning that if they can't play both sides anymore, they might as well be hanged for a sheep as for a lamb, so to speak. It was never a sound financial position to refuse to put their most valuable streaming properties on their most popular streaming service, they were just afraid of losing public good will over it. But, there's always "kid mode" if parents are worried about their little monsters clicking on the wrong icon.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about that.

As a card carrying member of the Gay Agenda, I sort of wanted to be happy that they quietly reversed their previous decision and uploaded Love, Victor to Disney+ as well. But that property should never have been considered too racy in the first place, at least not if judged by season 1 (they started exploring sexuality more openly on the show after the move to Hulu, making it a more ballsy move than it might have been otherwise to then change their mind and move it back). Artistically it's too much of a teen drama cliche soup to really feel excited about from a representation point of view... but, baby steps, I suppose. In any case, it will take more than one sometimes-gay soapy drama to put the Mouse in my good graces after eighty years of gloomy history on social issues.

They are also moving The Orville to Disney+, which has a bunch of swearing, references to drug use, and a great story arc which is a thinly veiled discussion on trans rights.

We've got three free months of Disney+ and Hulu as part of our T-Mobile plan, and it will be expiring next month. Right now, we've seen just about everything of interest to us on Disney+, except the final part of Peter Jackson's stunning documentary The Beatles: Get Back. So I can see where they were having a problem with keeping people interested in their largely kiddie-oriented streaming service. Hulu is far more interesting to us because of the more mature offerings, and so are most other competing services. Unless one is a Marvel or cartoon addict, there isn't much to Disney+.

Or a Star Wars fan, alas! We'd have no business with Walt at all, but they've got my religion hostage.
Oh come now, you can always reject the later prophets and their tales.

We've got the Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu bundle. Not bad for the price. That and Youtube TV are the only paid apps I use. Although Paramount+ is looking pretty good.

I have the T-Mobile 55+ Magenta plan for $70/mo guaranteed for life or until we change our plan. That gives us two lines and free roaming data+text in scores of countries when we travel. It also comes with frequent perks, e.g. one free year of Netflix, Paramount+, and Apple+. They also gave us Youtube Premium for a few months, but all it did was give us ad-free videos. Nothing interesting. So it all ends in a year, and we go back to paying for what we want. The Disney+/Hulu bundle/ESPN+ only lasts 3 months, so we are going to lose it in August. So far, I think we'll go back to paying for Netflix. Maybe Hulu will be worth it, but you can usually subscribe to these plans for a few months, bingewatch what you want, and then quit. They are really having trouble with all of the competing streaming services trying to follow in the footsteps of Netflix, which started the mad scramble.

There's no bad Star Wars. It's all Star Wars.
Yeah but like, the pacing is garbage, and the escalations are ridiculous.

There's some good stuff out mandalorian way, I guess?
