These fucking plague rats ruin it for all of us. Why can't they just wear the fucking mask and get vaccinated every eight weeks.
 
I'm presuming that one is not real. Again, this doesn't violate Poe, but based on the other one floating around, I'm going to side towards doubt. Only source I can find is this.

Kudos for maintaining a healthy scepticism, but blastula has linked to the source. It's a genuine post by the former POTUS.

ZiprHead's pic had me scurrying to the fact checkers. None of them reported it to be a fake. Infowars and The Gatewaypundit were positively gloating. Had it been a fake, the latter two would have cried foul. Then I clicked on blastula's link. It did not let me connect because Truth Social prohibits connections from outside the USA. So I had to rev up my PVN, and there it was. It then occurred to me that I might be looking at a post by an impostor until I noticed the red tick next to the author's name and that it had attracted 55,290 likes and been reposted 16,375 times since its publication a little over one day ago.

I screencapped it in case it gets deleted later on.

Maybe I haven't caught up to the latest, but. wasn't Trump banned from Twitter, and on top of that, I thought Twitter used only blue checkmarks to denote verified user accounts. Biden has a blue checkmark and Trump has a red checkmark.

Truth Social (Truth Central according to Trump) is almost an exact duplicate of Twitter. I'm surprised lawsuits over it haven't been filed.

I've been caught being doubtful too because it looked like a Twitter post.

In other words, locking down worked.

Note that prior infection is inferior to vaccination in reducing the severity of Omicron infections. This isn't a once-and-done disease, their "draconian" measures worked.

The only country being stupid is China, they're still unwilling to admit their measures can't stop Omicron.
 
Sweden's covid policies worked for the most part;

Although Sweden was hit hard by the first wave, its total excess deaths during the first two years of the pandemic were actually among the lowest in Europe. The decision to keep primary schools open also paid off. The incidence of severe acute Covid in children has been low, and a recent study showed that Swedish children didn’t suffer the learning loss seen in many other countries. In this light, the Swedish strategy has gone from being called “a disaster” and “cautionary tale” to a “Scandinavian success”. The commission did, however, state that the no-lockdown strategy was fundamentally reasonable, and that the state should never interfere with the rights and freedoms of its citizens more than absolutely necessary. The commission also supported the decision to keep primary schools open.

Why is this at all important?
Other than the partisan angle?

The Trump Administration's abject failure to contain the problem early on has left all of us at greater risk than need be. Mrs Biden is no different. She's a very public person being First Lady. She can't do what I do, which is just avoid public spreader places, like churches and elementary schools and bars. She has to mingle. Why do you care about yet another American testing positive for C19? It happens every day, probably every second of every day.

You realize that's an opinion piece?

And the reason most countries are taking that approach now is that the latest variants are so infectious that stopping them is effectively impossible. The situation has changed, society can't function with measures that drive RE below 1.

You think that's bad? Look at all these deep state doctors talking about the benefits of polio vaccination. They know the only way to cure polio is with natural immunity!
