How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

By the way, Russia has a law against fake spreading, ZiprHead can theoretically get 2 years in prison for merely reposting that garbage here on this forum.
So don't travel to Russia or "Ukraine" for that matter.
It's not a joke, CNN&Co left Russia because of that law.

Who would want to go to a fucking shithole country like Russia where telling the truth gets you sent to prison. Only twisted degenerates and despicable violent perverts would want to visit a fucking cesspit of fetid excrement like that.

Russians had every reason to kill them. Your own politicians in the Duma called for the Azovstal defenders to be killed
Yes, they should be tried and sentenced accordingly. Some should be executed.
There is no reason whatsoever to bomb perfectly fine building to achieve that.
Ukrainian regime, on the other hand, got tired of russian propaganda videos of azov regiment soldiers where they are telling everybody how happy they are in the captivity.
These videos are not helping Elensky with his "troops are surrendering!!!" problem.

I see no discussion of Amnesty International debacle here :)
Nuclear Pland bombing? sure, keep speculating, even after ukrainian regime admitted it was them.

You people are still thinking that Ukraine is winning.
Just the fact that the Orcs haven't overrun Ukraine and put their people in concentration camps yet after all these months is a great tribute to the Ukrainian people. Show me another country that has stood up to a bully country that outnumbers it 10 - 1 and is surviving? Ukraine is winning simply by surviving against incredible odds.

I plan to travel to the free country of Ukraine someday. I've always wanted to visit Kyiv. When I go, I'll follow the free Ukrainian laws; not the laws of a dictator-gangster country of Russia.

The meltdown itself could have caused a worse disaster, if it had burned down through the basement floor to reach groundwater.
No, it really couldn't.

That's a fictional element from the HBO 'docudrama', that was added to increase tension.

I note that other, far worse, contemporary industrial accidents don't have recent HBO specials about them. Where's the docudrama about Bhopal? That was a far more serious accident on every level, but apparently dead Indians are less exciting than scared Europeans.

The sad thing about it is that Russia used to be a great country. Their contributions to the scientific and exploration world are legendary. Check out their list of accomplishments:

They developed top of the line airliners, AC transformers, radio transformers. They really developed the TV first. They were incredible explorers - the space race. But they've allowed their country to degenerate into a country of marauding invaders. Rather than make great discoveries in space, their soldiers steal grain and tractors from their neighbors. Believe it or not, they actually discovered the covid vaccine first. But today their scientists have either fled the country or have joined the war effort. Russia has always led the world in nuclear research. Their nuclear power station barges are amazing. But today, I wouldn't trust them to manage the local drug store let alone a sophisticated nuclear power plant in Ukraine. Sad to see how Russia has degenerated.

Assuming it still exists, it's not as free as you think. Half of the people can not leave the "country", Elensky banned all opposition parties and media. Journalists get arrested and even murdered.

You are talking about modern Ukraine.
And yes, telling lies can get you in prison in Russia.

Come on. These are all ukrainian accomplishments, just ask ukrainians.

I would give Ukraine some latitude here. They are desperate. Their backs are against the wall. They are fighting for their freedom. They have been invaded. They have no choice. Russia has a choice. They can return home. After this war is over, and Russian soldiers have returned home, Ukraine will be rebuilt. They will continue turning westward towards the friends in the west that helped them. They will rebuild. Then, that is the time to evaluate to see which country is freeer: Ukraine or Russia. It's hard to believe today, but I really think that the Ukrainian citizens face a much brighter future than the average Russian citizen.

That's a tad harsh. I think it's better to simply remind barbos that the world already knows not to visit Russia. They're in the mist of a mass corporate exodus for Plutus' sake.

too many of the Ukrainian prisoners had already died from the torture the Russians were subjecting them to so the Russians realized that they had to cover up the war crimes by faking an enemy bombing.
Complete and utter lie.
The only complete and utter lie were your claims that this was all fait accompli several months ago. Yet, the conflict continues.

Russians had every reason to kill them. Your own politicians in the Duma called for the Azovstal defenders to be killed

Luckily the building was mostly unharmed. :cautious:

Russia has most likely tortured possibly already killed some of the POWs. Killing a bunch of them with an incendiary device and then quickly burying the corpses without autopsies would be a very nice way of hiding that. Other reasons include coercing the survivors to make false statements. The point remains that Russia wanted and still wants the POWs dead; Ukraine wants them back alive.

I see no discussion of Amnesty International debacle here :)
What's there to discuss? Amnesty seems to have sourced the report well, but it boils down to Ukraine sometimes firing near civilians. War is hell, and Russia does the same thing but much more often. Amnesty just doesn't have the same access to Russian-occupied territories

Nuclear Plant bombing? sure, keep speculating, even after ukrainian regime admitted it was them.
Source? To my knowledge, Ukraine's official position has been consistently that it was Russia.

You people are still thinking that Ukraine is winning.
I'm not.

LOL. In your delusional propaganda filled media bubble perhaps. We have video of Russian soldiers was filmed cutting off the testicles of a Ukranian POW.
You saw nothing!
What we saw are the proven cases of ukrainian nazis torturing and murderuing russian POWs during early days of operation. Your video WAS NOT in any way verified.
Yes, it was.

Thanks to his distinctive hat and social media presence, we know who did it and where.

So does telling truths apparently.

Ukraine is not perfect, but its still not as bad as Russia: in 2021 Democracy Index, Ukraine ranks 86th versus Russia's 124th place. Press Freedom from year 2020 the ranks are 96 vs 149. Granted, due to war probably Ukraine has taken a hit, but so has Russia.

Yes, you are right that Russia is winning in Ukraine. But they are achieving far far far less than their objectives. Ultimately, the real winner will depend on the country that is stronger at the end. Sure, Russia will end up with more land. But the rebuilt Ukraine will be a far greater country in the future than Russia. I think that the battle in Ukraine will be Russia's bunker hill. A sure fire easy victory that ended up united the opposition and hurting the victors in the long run. We'll see...

We'll see...
Yeah, but talking to barbos about it is a complete waste of time. The entire Russian horde of murderous goons could be wiped out, and he'd declare it a glorious victory for King Vlad and his joyful people.

Russian fire safety demonstration goes awfully awry in "temporarily occupied" Crimea:

The interesting thing is that this location is way beyond the range of HIMARS or even Tochka. Which means that Russians fucked it up themselves, or Ukrainian drones or helicopters somehow got through their air defenses.

I just saw video of the highway out of Crimea, jammed with traffic of people leaving.
