That looks far to thin to be a bullet. It seems only about 2 mm thick, whereas an actual bullet is at least 1/2 cm thick.

Clearly you aren't reading what I'm saying. You want to believe people will make informed decisions if only they are truthfully informed. Look at Covid-19 and the people's reaction. The trouble with the truth and context is that when it comes to the partisan mind, the brain actually rewards obfuscation. In other words, our brains are wired to lie to itself when convenient and give itself a cookie when it accomplishes the task. So the question is how to manage messaging, and more importantly, convince people whose brains aren't trying to fool itself to vote.

Regardless, if it makes you feel better, we already lost because of Corner Post and the reversal of Chevron. And even if the Democrats win in 2024, the people will give the GOP a chance to turn back the clock to the 19th Century soon after.

From the layout of the scene in the New York Times that would have to be a bullet that already missed. He's also pretty much looking at the shooter. And I still don't think you're going to record a streak that long, there's only one image of a bullet actually hitting the sensor, that long also means that weak.

I have no idea the fluid dynamics on the problem, but I wonder whether higher humidity would help create a longer apparent trail. Trail on the left end is darker, already spreading out and away.
