Public schools aren't teaching Critical Race Theory.

Gang culture has been culture in America going back to the Red Sash gang the Cowboys Wyatt Earp challenged in the old west. Italian and Irish organised crime gangs of the early twentieth century. Street gangs immortalized in movies and musicals. There's nothing new here except the easy access to firearms.

What they need to do if they really cared would be to get the schools better funding and give people in the neighborhood capital to open businesses and employ people. Since nobody in poor areas will be able to acquire capital and the cycle will continue forever, they need to be given a start up somehow. Republicans want to do this, but they never get voted into the big cities. They keep voting Democrat.
Please cite some Republican-sponsored legislation that was intended to provide capital to poor people to open businesses and to provide better funding to schools in poor neighborhoods.

There is economic disadvantage associated with blacks because of certain policies put in place by the Democratic Party.
Oh goody. The, "Democrats are the party of racism", trope. Is this where you point out that Demonrats were pro slavery so therefore Republicans can't possibly be racist?

An inconvenient example messing with your position is not a lack of good faith, but of showing a flaw in your position.

A black person can hike topless. I can't, sunscreen would be rubbed off. And that's simply a way to reduce the harm of the discrimination, it does nothing to address the underlying discrimination in the first place.
So your claim is that the economic disadvantage is associated with "blacks" in much the same way that reduced melanin is associated with "whites "? That is, that it is a consequence of their biological phenotype?

That is not what I'm saying and you know it.

You are making the claim that disparate impact proves discrimination. I presented an example where there is a disparate impact but no discrimination as there is no actor capable of discrimination involved. You either need to show how my example isn't disparate impact, show my example is discrimination, or recognize that your position is false.

This would be the real CRT that should be taught to kids.

Sorry, but it's the Republicans that hate school funding.

I'm not sure which Republicans @Generation55 is talking about.
I'm confident that a Republican proposing such policies would get labeled a RINO and primaried.

"Now through his Platinum Plan, Trump is promising to increase access to major capital in the Black community by almost $500 billion, building on opportunity zones, in an effort to attract even more long-term investment to low-income communities. He has promised to create 500,000 new Black-owned businesses and 3 million new jobs.
He will expand school choice at the K-12 level for parents and continue to support historically Black colleges and universities — building on his restoration of federal funding for those students.
He also plans to build upon criminal justice reforms of the bipartisan First Step Act, which overwhelmingly benefited Black men with sentence reductions.
President Trump has ambitious promises, but his track record says he can get it done. It’s not surprising that he is gaining among Blacks and registering significant support in these final days. If they view this race in light of their gains, rather than rhetoric, the choice becomes clear."

Interesting you guys didn't know about this, isn't it? The black community was being lifted out of poverty with actual policies by Trump, it's not surprising the Democrats kept calling him a racist. They should've been praising Trump's policy from the rooftops. Instead we heard things like, "LOL Trump has no policies!! HE'S A DUMMY!!!" :(

I never saw anything close to this big of an idea to help the black community. The Democrats just ran on, "Republicans are racist and hate black people. We love you" and that's it. They've been coasting on it for years now on autopilot down a hill but now they are coming to the bottom of the hill and are about to crash from the empty rhetoric.

You might want to start asking yourself why the establishment despised Donald Trump with all their hearts.

Are Republicans in the business of calling Trump a RINO?

You guys are way out of the loop with where you get your information on Trump. You didn't even know trump had one of the most historic plans for the black community in history and no one in the liberal media cared to say anything about it. It truly is sad.

"Fueling Access To Capital For Black Owned Businesses
• Increase opportunities for small business lending and technical assistance
through Community Development Financial Institutions, in order to grow
business and create generational wealth opportunities with over $400B
in lending

• Examine alternative ways to build credit including rent, utilities, and
phone bills
• Make the Minority Business Development Agency permanent, appoint its
leader to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce level, create a sub-office
of African American Affairs, and engage with private sector advisors to
ensure real-world plans and solutions
• Increase the number of Black owned contracting businesses, financial
services entities, and private equity investment funds through regulatory
reform and up to $40B in government funding alongside traditional
private investment
• Advance lending relationships with financial institutions, particularly those
businesses who weren’t able to participate in PPP
• Host senior executives from major financial institutions on a quarterly basis to advance new and equitable lending programs for black communities"

Not a plan. Actual legislation sponsored by Republican legislators. Anybody can write up a plan to try to win an election. Trump also said he’d build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it. Talk is cheap. Show me some actual bills. That’s when we see what politicians support.
Not just sponsored by grandstanding politicians.
Passed.

Trump and his TeaParty supporters are masters of The Big Lie.

Do you say the same thing for the Democrats and their plans? We can analyze the facts if you want. Cities run by Democrats are still poor, despite them claiming that they are for the poor and the POC community. You must ask yourself why it's always Republicans pointing out how gang culture needs to be stopped and it's Democrats who ignore it and let it continue. Ignoring gang violence and thousands of homicides caused by gang violence and just screaming about the Republicans are racist solves nothing. Democrats need to stop yelling at Republicans and start actually doing things. But since actions speak louder than words, we can see what they truly believe.

It's not Republicans causing the blue states and blue districts to be poor and overrun with gang violence. Republicans haven't been in charge of some of those Democrat cities since the 1940's. Yet, they still blame the Republicans. It's unbelieveable to me. Trump had a historic plan for the black community that no Democrat ever came up with and he's still ridiculed by you guys. Trump was the one who constantly called out the crime ridden cities of Democrat controlled and how it needs to be fixed. He said it time and time and again and the Democrats were calling him a racist. I feel really sorry for Trump. He only has good intentions and the establishment hates him because he wants to help blacks and lift them up and make them true equals in the country.

While I don't agree with the Capitol riot, it was only a small percentage of Trump supporters. A majority of the Trump supporters are peaceful people who did not go to the Capitol, nor did they even care to got o the Capitol. This would be like getting mad at all Christians because some of them are young earth creationists and using it to dismiss all Christians as crazy people, or better yet, it would be like getting mad at all atheists because some atheists are violent sometimes. You wouldn't abandon atheism because some atheists got out of control one day, would you?

Bizarre claim. What facts are you referring to? All of the country's most prosperous cities have majority Democratic governments. I definitely have issues with the party's management of some issues, and I definitely think racism is a problem in both political parties, but I certainly don't think it would be prudent to let Republicans take the lead on... well, anything, but especially urban planning. Their regions of the country are completely falling to pieces.

No it isn't. It's more like getting mad at YEC's in general because the activist ones that push creationism in schools show what results when stupid people believe lies. That only some act on the lie doesn't mean they're not all caught up in the lie.

I am a Christian, but if theocratic Christian radicals stormed the capitol and sitting senators and representatives equivocated on whether or not this was a bad thing, I would want them out of office. Tomorrow. Your "don't agree" means nothing if you don't oppose.

How about some basic facts first: Excluding DC, the top states by per capita income are: NY, Massachusetts, Connecticut, California, Washington, Delaware, and then finally Alaska for its oil and little else. Not exactly a shining example of how Republicans make states 'not poor'.

Trump had lots of 'plans', most of it was utter BS for the lemmings that follow him. There was no attempt to cajole his Repug party to support any such plan. The Democrats would have been on board if only Trump had actually made any effort on this. Much like they tried to get Trump to actually back an infrastructure plan that never materialized under his presidency. It didn't take long for the Democrats to get going on an infrastructure plan, that is now signed.

But I would abandon a cult leader that advocates steeling an election and establishing a dictatorship with lies...

Republican regions are not falling to pieces. They have lower cost of living and lower taxes. The United States also has a majority of its states vote Republican. Democrats don't have very many states overall. In recent election cycles Republicans usually have between 30-35 states and Democrats usually have between 15-20 states. It is a very good thing that the founding fathers founded the electoral college because they didn't want small states to get outvoted by majority rule. It wouldn't be fair if Democrats won every election just because Democrat states tend to be more populated. The founding fathers knew this and everyone fighting against the electoral college needs a good history lesson, or they just don't care.

Some people just attract a following like that. It just happens.. There were people who developed a cult-like following around Obama. Media never said a bad word about the guy. There's people who developed a cult-like worship of Bernie Sanders so much in the same way people love Trump. Remember everyone shouting, "BERNIE OR BUST! BERNIE OR BUST!" To them Bernie was everything, too. There's people who developed a cult-like following around Joe Biden. Media never says a bad word about him, either. This is in spite of the fact that Joe Biden is way dumber than Trump and one of the dumbest Presidents we ever had.

I just find it highly partisan to only criticize Trump for this. Even Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan had cult-like worship. Name me a President who didn't have a rabid group of followers saying that they can do no wrong.
