Not a plan. Actual legislation sponsored by Republican legislators. Anybody can write up a plan to try to win an election. Trump also said he’d build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it. Talk is cheap. Show me some actual bills. That’s when we see what politicians support.
Not just sponsored by grandstanding politicians.
Passed.

Trump and his TeaParty supporters are masters of The Big Lie.

While I don't agree with the Capitol riot, it was only a small percentage of Trump supporters. A majority of the Trump supporters are peaceful people who did not go to the Capitol, nor did they even care to got o the Capitol. This would be like getting mad at all Christians because some of them are young earth creationists and using it to dismiss all Christians as crazy people, or better yet, it would be like getting mad at all atheists because some atheists are violent sometimes. You wouldn't abandon atheism because some atheists got out of control one day, would you?
But I would abandon a cult leader that advocates steeling an election and establishing a dictatorship with lies...
Some people just attract a following like that. It just happens.. There were people who developed a cult-like following around Obama. Media never said a bad word about the guy. There's people who developed a cult-like worship of Bernie Sanders so much in the same way people love Trump. Remember everyone shouting, "BERNIE OR BUST! BERNIE OR BUST!" To them Bernie was everything, too. There's people who developed a cult-like following around Joe Biden. Media never says a bad word about him, either. This is in spite of the fact that Joe Biden is way dumber than Trump and one of the dumbest Presidents we ever had.

I just find it highly partisan to only criticize Trump for this. Even Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan had cult-like worship. Name me a President who didn't have a rabid group of followers saying that they can do no wrong.
Once you find a different Presidential candidate who lost an election and then claimed it was stolen, you will have a point.

Republican regions are not falling to pieces. They have lower cost of living and lower taxes. The United States also has a majority of its states vote Republican. Democrats don't have very many states overall. In recent election cycles Republicans usually have between 30-35 states and Democrats usually have between 15-20 states. It is a very good thing that the founding fathers founded the electoral college because they didn't want small states to get outvoted by majority rule. It wouldn't be fair if Democrats won every election just because Democrat states tend to be more populated. The founding fathers knew this and everyone fighting against the electoral college needs a good history lesson, or they just don't care.

And why do lines on a map get a vote? People should vote--and that would mean the Democrats controlling all three branches.

Do you say the same thing for the Democrats and their plans? We can analyze the facts if you want. Cities run by Democrats are still poor, despite them claiming that they are for the poor and the POC community.
Bizarre claim. What facts are you referring to? All of the country's most prosperous cities have majority Democratic governments. I definitely have issues with the party's management of some issues, and I definitely think racism is a problem in both political parties, but I certainly don't think it would be prudent to let Republicans take the lead on... well, anything, but especially urban planning. Their regions of the country are completely falling to pieces.

I have not advocated for abolishing tte electoral college... I merely observed that the centers of material prosperity in this nation are nearly all in solidly Democratic districts, so your claim that "the facts" show great poverty to correlate with the DNC is simply not true. You even admit that property values are much lower in conservative regions, even if you prefer to call that "low cost of living" (generally found in poverty-stricken regions all around the world, in fact). You can live on a few dollars a week in Somalia and avoid almost any taxes, but that doesn't make it a good place to live start a business.

We are not a pure democracy. Founding fathers knew this. They knew democracy=majority rule=mob rule. It's not good. Like I said, Republicans control a steady 30-35 states every election cycle. Democrats only get around 15-20 states. Imagine if the population of the U.S. was only 100 million people. Let's assume 50 million live in California, 10 million live in NY, and 40 million people are scattered around the other 48 states. Would it be fair to let California and NY decide every election? Absolutely not. This is why the Founding fathers were not morons.

I know a lot of wealthy states are also Democrat, but this is due to people gravitating toward the states because they are nicer. Example, people grvitate to Florida because of the weather mostly. Maybe some people go there screaming about a Republican Heaven, but I would say a majority go there because of the weather. Same with California, same with Texas. Florida is also about freedom because there is no income tax there. Same with Texas. Imagine if NY and California went income tax free? WOW! I don't think many people say to themselves, "I'm going to California because it's Democrat!

Hillary Clinton? She pushed Russia collusion for 4 years and people on the left wouldn't shut up about how Trump stole it by colluding with Russia. Then Trump loses and he gets told to "get over it" by the same people who were whining and crying for 4 years about Russia and Trump. It really makes me wonder about what world some people are living in.

The Russia story was also debunked once and for all recently here:

"Special counsel John Durham’s indictment of Igor Danchenko, the principal source for the bogus Steele dossier used by the FBI as a basis for the Trump-Russia investigation, further illustrates that Durham has his sights set on the Clinton campaign.
Danchenko has been charged with five counts of lying to the FBI in interviews during 2017, as the bureau struggled in futility to verify outlandish allegations that Donald Trump and his campaign were clandestine agents of the Kremlin. Those allegations were compiled in the so-called Steele dossier, which the FBI relied on in obtaining surveillance warrants from a secret federal court."

You gotta wonder why CNN or MSNBC doesn't scream this from the rooftops. If there's one thing I hate, it's partisan hacks.

Good point. The difference is that Mrs. Clinton's fans did not file frivolous lawsuits or attack the Capitol. Mr. Gore, who had the best case of the 3 of having the Presidential election stolen from him, did not whine or act like a baby.

Losers of elections should get over it.

Hillary Clinton called Trump the night of the election and congratulated him on his "victory"!

It's important that you and the other Trump Supporters recognize the reality.

^Yep! To think that Liz Cheney is one of the few Repug leaders I have respect for...what a strange world.

We were just talking about that ast breakfast. If you told me ten years ago that Mitt Romney snd Liz Cheney would be the moral bollards of the Republican party, i'd have said, "I didn't see the last South Park."

LOL...it would have been "I didn't see the last SNL" in my case.

You made a positive assertion about Republicans. I asked you to back it up and it seems you can’t. I’m not saying Democrats are necessarily better for black people than Republicans but let’s not kid ourselves about Republicans. If they really cared like you claimed they do then they would be proposing legislation not just talking about it in campaign ads. So, if there is some legislation you can point me to that would convince me you are right I’d gladly go look it up. Your current response, that is, deflecting the question to attack the other side, suggests that you cannot.

Thom Hartmann famously asks Republican callers to name any Republican led legislation in recent times designed to help the little people. They have a great deal of difficulty naming anything and usually deflect as G55 has done above.

In fairness, that's because Trump is a career criminal who has cheated in every single endeavor of his life., including welcoming Russian interference on his behalf in the 2016 and 2020 elections.

... same people who he told to "get over it" after his 2016 cheat succeeded.

It really makes me wonder about what world some people are living in.

Probably a world where they look at coup-attempting wannabe dictators, and think they should be purged from the body politic.
That's just your "some people" though, NOT the GQP.

An interesting graph on US poverty rates. The only solidly non-Repug state is New Mexico, in this yellow to red trend...

But the Russia collusion was all a hoax. The Steele dossier was one big lie made up Clinton and her Russian allies to make the public think Trump was dirty. Trump was for the people. He got treated terribly by the media because he's anti-establishment and wanted to shake things up. Media hates that so they hated him. Why do you think the media loved Obama, hated Trump, and now loves Biden? They love establishment shills, they hate anti-establishment people. It's as simple as that.

Can you imagine the media covering the Afghanistan withdrawl and inflation crisis if Trump was still President? My God, they would be going insane grilling Trump on every little detail every second of the day. With Biden they laugh and don't ask him anything tough.

Why was Paul Manafort giving private polling data to a Russian operative and convicted for lying about it to the feds?
