It must have seemed a straightforward way to honor a U.S. Supreme Court justice who was famous for, among other things, prizing straightforwardness. But then people began to titter about the unintended acronym of the Antonin Scalia School of Law — and now George Mason University has tweaked the name.

I don't get it. Wouldn't it have made more sense to leave it as is? ;)

They're changing it to "Antonin Scalia Law School" (ASLS). Right, that's an improvement.

The man has a middle initial. What's wrong with AGS School of Law?

Australian Government Service School of Law?

I can still remember my AGS number after decades of not needing it.

The cat's already out of the bag, people will have a tendency to drop the middle initial anyway.

"I graduated from Antonin Scalia."

"What an asshole..."

"No no no, the Antonin G. Scalia School of Law."

"Oh, that ASSoL."
