As it says....this is glorious.....and should be a guaranteed first amendment right....plus, since Satan is an entirely xtian figment, entirely appropriate, especially in the south.

This afternoon, The Satanic Temple held a rally outside the Arkansas State Capitol building alongside a giant statue of Baphomet. They want to install it there permanently, just as State Sen. Jason Rapert did with his Ten Commandments monument.
Check out these glorious images:

Rapert himself wasn’t at the rally, but he issued a statement this morning supporting the Satanists’ free speech rights, adding that they were “uplifting the profane” and calling them “extremists.”
The Satanic Temple’s spokesperson Lucien Greaves thanked Rapert in his opening remarks, which was obviously a pleasant jab more than anything. After all, without Rapert pushing for a Christian monument on government property, there would be no legal argument for a Satanic statue to be there either. It’ll be up to the courts to decide whether the Baphomet statue can go up permanently or if the Ten Commandments monument needs to come down. The worst-case scenario would be for the judges to allow the Christian display while permitting the state legislature to reject all other ones.

There are tons of pictures at the link.

Church Of Satan has been around for a long time.

I just googled the pictures of mighty Baphomet in Arkansas. Damn! That's one big statue. How did they get it there? An accompanying article had the usual bombast from Arkansas politicians ("It'll be a cold day in hell before..." blah, blah, blah.) The most sensible statement came from one of the rally organizers. How's this for a sensible Satanist: "If you're going to have one religious monument up, then it should be open to others, and if you don't agree with that, then let's just not have any at all." Arrest that man!!! He's making sense!!
Considering Arkansas' geographic location, smack dab in the middle of heart attack alley, shouldn't they have a Big Boy statue on the statehouse lawn?
