A county in Arizona is so far refusing to certify their ballots.

Let them--it would pick up a blue seat in the house.

Indeed. If they refuse to certify, just declare the statewide result without including that county. Clearly the county officials are unhappy with the probity of their county's voting, so best just declare it null and void.

Perhaps that could be done for any county or state whose officials express concern about the accuracy of the vote - they only have intimate knowledge of their own jurisdictions, so if they're expressing concerns, their jurisdictions should not be counted at all. ;)

Having the entire (Red-dominated) county invalidated/disenfranchised may very well be the intent of this county's GOP officials.

This would set up a chance to yell, "See? They're doing it--your votes didn't count; they were stolen," etc. The rural Arizona dumbasses would never connect the dots that their votes weren't stolen but were squandered by GOP dead-enders perpetuating a fantasy, and would instead be looking to arm up and "take their country back" or whatever.

Probably better to treat the *cough* "voting irregularities" as if they were real, and insist on a very public, very transparent examination to identify and clear up such...followed by a very public and very transparent conclusion that there were none.

(And by "none," I really mean, isolated, here-and-there, mostly honest-mistake anomalies in insufficient numbers to have altered any outcomes.)

Also I'd be sure to very publicly broadcast the (likely) findings of GOP chicanery that WERE found, on a closer look.
None of this would convince the most Trumpified of the mouth-breather crowd, but to the extent that any true Republican moderates, or (gasp) genuine Independents even exist, this may make an impression on them.

Quintuple super facepalm deluxe.
"Extremists pull gun, take aim at own feet"

There's no way in hell they're going to forego an actual real-life seat in the HoR in favor of a transparently lame excuse to complain about what they did to themselves.

Or, reduce the Republicans hold on the House by one seat. The GOP would obviously sue to seat the guy, but I'm not certain how the courts would rule, so I presume there would be no one in the seat until it was settled in the court.

Isn't that how things went in Minnesota back in 2006 with Franken and Coleman? Except in this case, there would be two winners, the general overall winner (GOP) and the actual certified winner (Dem), because the GOP refused to certify some votes.

Or just don’t include those votes, take the gift of an extra seat in the House, and criminally charge the Republican supervisors for failing to obey the law. The MAGAs can scream all they want about votes not being counted while their own people are on trial for preventing them from being counted.

Again? I wasn't aware they were taking a breather.

There’s a Dec 8 deadline, by which Cochise Cty must certify or their votes won’t count. Since this is just a charade, it’s foregone that they WILL certify their voters’ votes, and that they will scream all the while about being “forced” to certify fraudulent ballots.

They aren't saying their ballots are fraud, they are saying Maricopa County ones are. They are effectively protesting their certification by not certifying their own. And Kevin McCarty has likely sent hired goons to Cochise County to ensure they certify the vote and not screw their own party out of a House Representative.

A judge took care of it for him, ordering the supervisors to meet by 5pm yesterday to certify by 5pm. One R and one D met at 3:30; another R didn’t show up. They certified.

Meanwhile, a Federal judge sanctioned lawyers for Lake and Finchem for filing their bullshit hand count lawsuit. Hit them in the wallet, and their hearts and minds will follow.
