Apparently not funding terrorism means we are declaring war on the Palestinians

Supposedly they are trying it again, with a massive protest tent city (to last 45 days until May 14th, the day commemorating the founding of Israel) close to Israel-Gaza border. Their demand is for Israel to allow millions of descendants of 1948 refugees to flood into Israel and settle there. Obviously that is completely unacceptable to Israel no matter how peaceful they are. However, not too many people believe that it will be very peaceful. For one, Hamas is involved, and Hamas is a terrorist organization whose sole raison d'etre is destroying Israel. Second, weekly protests at Israel-Gaza borders have always been violent, with Palestinians throwing stones and Molotov cocktails (the only halal cocktail) at Israeli troops, setting tires on fire, damaging the border fence and even setting IEDs. Third, there has been increased rate of Palestinians form Gaza infiltrating Israel, usually armed. Just a week ago three terrorists carrying knives and hand grenades were captured inside Israel.

And your neglect of Israeli expansion in the West Bank was just an oversight?
Israel captured Judea and Samaria from Jordan in the 1967 war. Since then, Israel has not expanded further into any Jordanian-held territory. Quite the opposite, Israel has granted autonomy to Palestinians in wide areas of West Bank. That's how Palestinian Authority was formed in the first place.

You realize this is basically Palestinian propaganda?
So? Your posts are basically Israeli propaganda.

Actually that's not entirely fair. There are Israelis who support a two state solution or some sort of solution where the Palestinians aren't shoved unceremoniously into the sea, but those folks don't count in Loren's world.

That's patently false. In 1967 the occupation hardly affected the daily lives of Arabs in West Bank at all, but since then there has been an increasing number of restrictions, checkpoints, and displacement.

So the reason for your neglect of the Israeli expansion into the West Bank is that you narrowly focused on lands won in a war? Wow.

That did not take long.
Israeli Military Kills at Least 8 in Confrontations on Gaza Border
NY Times said:
What was billed as a six-week campaign of peaceful protests in Gaza, culminating in a mass march toward Israel, descended almost immediately into chaos and bloodshed on Friday, with at least eight Palestinians reported killed by Israeli soldiers in confrontations along the border fence.

Soon after the campaign began Friday morning, the Israeli military reported that Palestinian protesters were rioting in six locations along the border, rolling burning tires and hurling stones at the fence and at Israeli soldiers beyond it. Later, it reported that Molotov cocktails were thrown at soldiers.

By late afternoon, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said that eight Palestinians had been killed by Israeli fire, and more than 1,000 injured.

Gandhi my ass!

And I notice that nobody seems to care about the terrorism that we stopped funding.
There is no evidence in the linked article that terrorism was being funded unless you are making the extremely bigoted assumption that Palestinian Authority=Terrorist entity.

Apparently you didn't notice the payments to the families of terrorists.

Because of an increasing level of violence from the occupants.

Those checkpoints and restrictions are expensive, Israel wouldn't do them unless it needed to for it's own safety. The Palestinians behave, the restrictions get eased.

Making sure Palestinians don't starve to death is the same thing as funding terrorism?

Yet another person who can't be bothered to read.

I love how you phrase that: The Palestinians behave, the restrictions get eased.

100% unapologetic Authoritarian, endorsing collective punishment on a captive population because of your own bigotry against them. The beatings will continue until morale improves. It's so you, Loren.

Those checkpoints and restrictions are expensive, which no doubt is a factor in Israel constantly crying for more money from the US. But Israel would do them even if there wasn't an issue of safety and even if the US wasn't so generous. And you know why. Israel doesn't want the people it forced out a gunpoint to return to their homes on the Israel side of the borders. It maintains walls and restrictions on the places where non-Jews are permitted to live in order to maintain a Jewish majority everywhere else under its control. That's been the Zionist way of doing things since Israel was founded.

But that would be the end of their expansionism that has gone on for decades.
Israel gave up Sinai for the sake of peace with Egypt.
Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza for the sake of peace with Palestinians, and look how that turned out.

That is not expansionism. It's the exact opposite.

Israel invades the West Bank and blows up children every now and then just to let the inmates remember who's boss.

If they left their illegal squatters in place they would have to use restraint.

Israel has traded peace for expansion for decades.

It is a lie to say Israel has not been taking land illegally, in violation of UN Resolutions, for decades.

Israel doesn't need checkpoints inside West Bank for its own safety. Those are only to protect the settlers. As for expenses, the checkpoints around Gaza cost far less, even those Gazans are behaving much more violently than Palestinians in West Bank and Jerusalem.

The restrictions have been eased at times in the West Bank. That persists until they attack again.

The Gaza barrier is far cheaper because far fewer people are allowed through it.
