Are there any good humorous takedowns of the idiocy of Hinduism like we have for Christianity?

I want to find something.

I do realize that there are a couple issues, first most of us have so little background that it would be work to just be up to speed. The second is that I don't want something that is or could be mistaken as tinged with racism.

Pakistani Moslems have for years poked fun at various Hindu religious texts with less than edifying myths. I do not know of any of this is on the net in English. Googling for this might be interesting.

Hindus and Muslims along with Hindus and Sikhs have been violent for a long time, although it has been quiet in India for a while.

There is a lot of fakery in Indian Hinduism. I watched a news clip a few years back of someone appearing to feed a statue.

When I was here before there were a couple of conservative Hindus from India. They were just a s misogynist as Christians, Jews, and Muslims can be. One thought physically disciplining women was normal. In the time there was a news report of young men in a villi age physically abusing women in public for not acting and dressing properly.

Same old stuff.

Are you not conflating what people do with their religion? How is this any different from theists saying Hitler was an Atheist or Stalin was an atheist and so they killed people. You know that Stalin's (we know Hitler was a Christian but they are desperately trying to make him an Atheist so that they can fob off the mass killings of jews on to Atheists) mass killings or Mao's killings had nothing to do with Atheism, but you turn around and are doing the same

As for appearing to feed a statue - do you see the photos of your loved ones and are happy/sad? But you do realize they are not real right? Do you cry at movies? Again not real right? just checking

It is the standard retort to say 'those people are not really...' Christian or Muslim or what ever. Europe had centuries of violence over who defined Christianity. The Shia-Sunni conflict is over who are the legitamate heirs of Mohhamed, who is a true Muslim.

You can not separate religion from culture when religion is the foundation of a culture.

In the constituions of places like Iraq and Saudi Arabia all laws must not violate the Koran. Interpretaion of scripture is the root of the Arab Iranian(Persian) coflict creating a hell in Syria.

As I understand it in India public criticism of any religion is limited becuse of the potential to incite violence.

My signature line is from Hitler. I put it in to see if anyone would pick up on it, hahaha.

From wiki

Adolf Hitler's religious beliefs have been a matter of debate; the wide consensus of historians consider him to have been irreligious, anti-Christian, anti-clerical and scientistic.[1] In light of evidence such as his fierce criticism and vocal rejection of the tenets of Christianity,[2] numerous private statements to confidants denouncing Christianity as a harmful superstition,[1] and his strenuous efforts to reduce the influence and independence of Christianity in Germany after he came to power, Hitler's major academic biographers conclude that he was irreligious and an opponent of Christianity.[1] Historian Laurence Rees found no evidence that "Hitler, in his personal life, ever expressed belief in the basic tenets of the Christian church".[3] Hitler's remarks to confidants, as described in the Goebbels Diaries, the memoirs of Albert Speer, and transcripts of Hitler's private conversations recorded by Martin Bormann in Hitler's Table Talk, are further evidence of his irreligious and anti-Christian beliefs;[1] these sources record a number of private remarks in which Hitler ridicules Christian doctrine as absurd, contrary to scientific advancement, and socially destructive.[1][4]

No, what he had to do in presenting his faith to the masses is a totally different story.

First, I'm in a country with a Hindu minority.

Humor that involves punching down is just shit humor. As the comedians say, always punch up, not down. Fuck you if you think it's OK to mock Hindus in countries where they are a minority.

As for Hindus in India, it's hard to find humor in what's going on over there. The radical Hindus are becoming straight up fascists. Mobs of Hindus are murdering non-Hindus for eating beef (or even just being accused of eating beef). I have a hard time finding any of that funny.

He makes a case that Adolf Hitler was personally a rather eccentric and Protestant-like Xian, despite all the efforts to disown him from Xianity. This is someone who talked about Jesus Christ's Temple temper tantrum as what to do about the Jews. Nevertheless, he remained a nominal Catholic all his life, and the Catholic Church never excommunicated him. As far as I've been able to find out, the only Nazi leader that the Church ever excommunicated was Joseph Goebbels, and that was for marrying a Protestant.

 Hindu joke
Hindu jokes are a class of ethnic jokes in India based on the lifestyle of the Hindus and some of the common religious beliefs in Hinduism.[1] Some of the most common characteristics of these jokes include making fun of Vedic Hindu gods (such as the Sun, Moon, and their children), making fun of the Puranic Hindu gods (such as Shiva, Vishnu, Ganesha), satire on the priests and ascetics, and jokes on Brahmins that stereotype their defects, ritualism and conceits.[2]

So there might be some accessible collection somewhere of satires of Hinduism.
