Are you offended when people complain about racism?

If when I criticize the bigotry or racism of a group, representatives of that group are then offended because they say I hate the whole group, it is basically an admission from that group that bigotry & racism are an inextricably bound core aspect of their identity.

Depending of the structure of the comment/ criticism, I agree. People with strong biases of a controversial nature rarely respond well because they see it as a direct attack on themselves and their "core values".
