Bernie Collusion with Russia? This is Priceless if True!

Of course Russia is trying to help Sanders--it's a standard political strategy to help the candidate on the other side you think you can beat.

I don't know what Russia is thinking. But I sure know what I am thinking. Sanders is really the only Democrat candidate who has the chance to beat Trump. Your thinking is very short sighted I believe.

That is because unlike all the other Democrats, only Trump and Sanders are populous and populism is what counts today. Both red and blue voters are done with the neocons.

As a white male, it is very difficult to vote for a candidate coming from a party who thinks I am a deplorable. That being said, if Sanders gets the nomination I will be voting for him next election instead of Trump. Not because he is a Democrat but because he is a populous with integrity lacking from Trump. And I think there are many others just like me.

Populist candidates always end up being bad for the country.
How so?

Most regard FDR as one of the best presidents in the history of the US. Because of FDR, America saw the worlds first middle class spring up from the depression.

He was the grand daddy of populism if ever there were. I do not see how populism was ever bad at all. At least not for the average American. Even the plutocrats would have to admit FDR's style of populism helped the country. Because FDR saved capitalism from itself.

Loren was talking about the part of the country that matters (rich white business owners and their cop friends)

Note that your precious steel jobs have been declining. They went up a bit on Obama's inertia, not because of His Flatulence.
You are looking at the wrong metric. What is important is the supply chains for high value production and what has occurred since the Trump administration. They are clearly moving OUT of China right now.

You are not looking at the long term picture.

He probably lengthened the depression.

Depending on ones political ideology, I have heard it argued either that he helped or hurt.

But this is what can not be argued. What is 100% certain is that FDR was extremely popular during his day with the middle class. So much so, he remains the only President in US history to ever be voted in office more than 2 terms. Thats not going to happen by doing bad policy or making false promises.

You simply can not become that popular by promoting or prolonging hardship to your voting constituents. FDR made the country stronger and saved the working class.

Even though his stated policies would bring the US economy to it's knees within his first term?

They said that about Trump too. And that isn't what happened. Not yet anyway.

Furthermore, the US economy is already pretty radical in terms of wealth disparity and needs some radical leadership to bring it back to normal again. The POTUS is still not a dictator and not everything proposed is going to get done.

Well, I agree with HRC that is someone is racist, sexist or homophobic you are deplorable. Are you one of those things?

No. Im just a white male. But the Democratic party hates white males right now. Im not going to complain about it or try to say I am being victimized. But I also do not think the Democrats in general can represent my best interests right now.

Whether someone is popular or not has little to do with whether their actions are good for the country.

Anyone here seen this in Pravda?

Bernie Sanders - a political gargoyle and a guttersnipe

Wannabe Presidential failure Bernie Sanders is the embodiment of a foul-mouthed guttersnipe, an inconsequential political gargoyle sniping from the rooftops.
Sheer insolence

Just two days ago, Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders displayed a shocking degree of insolence to someone whose boots he is not even fit to look at, namely Vladimir Putin, who Sanders called an "autocratic thug" and warned Russia to stay out of American elections.

Yea, like raiding every millionaires bank account and confiscating every cent of their savings and handing it over to the bludgers and no hopers who simply refuse to get off their arses and help themselves, because they're the Democrats base!

Here's your Bern...................................https://cms.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2020/02/bernie-sanders-weighs-iran-and-saudi-arabia-hugh-fitzgerald

Bernie Sanders believes that for too long America has been “just pro-Israel”; he appears not to know of the many episodes when America was not in Israel’s camp, from President Eisenhower threatening in 1956 to cut aid to Israel unless it withdrew – it did – from the Sinai, to Carter and Brzezinski cruelly bullying Menachem Begin during the negotiations over the Camp David Accords, to Samantha Power, Obama’s UN Ambassador, abstaining rather than vetoing a Security Council Resolution that claimed Israeli settlements were illegal. He also claims that we have been unfair to the Palestinians, and that he would change all that. Sanders has apparently forgotten the billions of dollars in American aid that has been given to those Palestinians, who have been most ungrateful, and the many efforts made by American presidents to promote peace agreements between Israel and the Palestinians that ended in failure because Arafat and the other Palestinian leaders were not satisfied with an Israeli offer of 95%, or even 97%, of the West Bank.

Bernie continued in his remarks at a town hall in Nevada:

“We’ve got to pay attention to both [Israel and the Palestinians] and by the way, it’s not a dissimilar situation with regard to Iran and Saudi Arabia. For years, we have loved Saudi Arabia, our wonderful ally. Only problem is the people run that country are murderous thugs,” he said.

The social democrat senator said instead of “being really cosy” with “the billionaire dictator”, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Washington should facilitate a dialogue between Iran and the kingdom to end their proxy wars in the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia has not been treated as “our wonderful ally” for some time. But there is a recognition that the Saudi Crown Prince, however ruthless he has been in disposing of perceived enemies of the regime, such as Jamal Khashoggi, has also instituted some far-reaching social reforms. The most important have been those that allow Saudi women to leave their houses without a male escort, and to drive by themselves, again without a male guardian. MBS has also clamped down on the powers of the religious police, the Mutaween, a move which angered some powerful clerics — Mohammed bin Salman managed to face them down. He helped organize a boycott of Qatar by other Gulf Arab states, because of that country’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood – an organization that the Saudi rulers fear and detest — and because of Qatar’s ties to Iran.

About time the hoaxers were brought to justice!

INTRODUCTION AND SUMMARY OF CASE
1. Defendant The New York Times Company d/b/a The New York Times (“The
Times”) knowingly published false and defamatory statements of and concerning plaintiff
Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. (the “Campaign”), claiming it had an “overarching deal”
with “Vladimir Putin’s oligarchy” to “help in the campaign against Hillary Clinton” in exchange
for “a new pro-Russian foreign policy, starting with relief from the Obama administration’s
burdensome economic sanctions.”

It's already been pointed out that you are completely full of shit when you spout rhetorical nonsense like this. Bernie Sanders has a tax policy even more conservative than the Morrison Government.

I would agree with you when talking about the potential POTUS candidates having no track record. In those cases, people can be and are sometimes swayed by bull shit and good speeches.

But that was not the case with FDR. After having already serving 2 terms, his results were spectacularly successful with the middle class. The population knew in real time confirming his leadership was working for them. And they were voting off past results.
