I think he is too ahead of the tempo somehow. But for a competent bass player to attempt this with all the rhythm whiplash going from song to song is impressive.

The best bass line is probably polyvinylidene difluoride; More traditional nylon monofilament line is cheaper, but PVDF has lower visibility, higher abrasion resistance, and is not susceptible to UV degradation by sunlight. It also has higher tensile strength for a given weight, and even higher for a given diameter; although it is more brittle if shocked, so you will want to loosen the drag on your reel if using this type of line.

Having said that, a high quality monofilament such as Berkley Big Game line is often less expensive, and is good for Bass, Pike, Muskellunge and Trophy Catfish, according to the manufacturer.
