Bloomberg may enter presidential race

All this billionaire will do is make it easier for the Democrat.

He will do what Perot did. Mostly take votes from the Republican candidate.

Maybe help elect another Clinton.
Do you have a link to support that? The stories that I remember reading stated that most of the Perot voters would have voted for Clinton. It was close, but a majority would have voted Clinton. Secondly, I don't see a lot of republicans or conservatives voting for Bloomberg! He's a social liberal (very socially liberal) and is an atheist!

It really is impossible to say. You can't remove Perot from the process and see what would have happened without him. You can make guesses but that is all.

All that is really known is that Bush lost and Perot got about 20 million votes.

What may decide this election is women, minorities and the young.

I don't see them favoring Bloomberg over Clinton or Sanders.

I could see Trump supporters and Republican supporters turned off by Trump voting for Bloomberg over them though.

From what I've read, the Perot voters slightly favored Clinton over Bush. It was close. But Clinton won by over 4.3 million votes. However, I agree with the rest of your post.

There is no way to know what would have happened without Perot.

It is possible Clinton would have won bigger.

I don't know if you were around but Bush looking at his watch during a debate may have lost the election.

I don't know about Bloomberg, but it is a sure thing he is not doing it for the good of the country...just for his own financial interest.

You claim not to know, then you make an assertion about his motives?

The argument that he's just doing it for the money falls flat in the face of the fact that being Mayor of New York paid him a fraction of what he was making on his business interests.

A better argument would be that he's doing it out of an overblown ego and sense of self-worth like Trump, but unlike "the Donald" Bloomberg actually took a pay cut to do a public service job and stuck with it.

What I don't know about Bloomberg is not his past but his chances in this race. Hmmmm will it be none or next to none! I do agree about Bloomberg having an oberblown ego and sense of self worth. 'They both are their own kind of showboaters,

Yea, he was out of touch. I remember Bush being amazed at a local scanner at a grocery store. Clinton was just able to identify with voters better.

I think that just about every politician running probably have an incredibly overblown ego and sense of worth. I wouldn't put Bernie in the category though.

What a land of opportunity.

Yes kids you too might run for president one day.

Of course 2 out of 3 candidates are billionaires, you might not.
