Captain Obvious: USA Manufactured Arms are in ISIS Hands.

It was reported when they captured these weapons.

But of course amnesia is a real problem with the US.

Yes ... when they "captured" these weapons. That's how they got them.

Doesn't exactly endear you to the local population being shot at. I suppose in their minds, it allies US with ISIS.

I kind of doubt it, considering how hostile ISIS is to the U.S.

My feeling is that, internationally, the United States is increasingly being thought of as a kind of international Keystone Cop that runs around sewing havoc and confusion wherever we choose to intervene. Someone starts a war and the U.S. chooses to support one side or another for some completely incomprehensible reason; we leave the entire country littered with unexploded ordinance, bomb-flattened villages, and a lot of shell-shocked people scratching their heads wondering "They bombed Samir's kebab stand? Why the fuck did they bomb the kebab stand? Why would you use an eight hundred thousand dollar guided missile to kill a guy selling lamb kebabs? Who does that?"

The fact that it turns out we accidentally gave high powered weapons to a group of some of the most crazy and violent people on Earth is just further evidence of our imbecility. The fact that Donald Trump is a serious presidential candidate pretty much clinches the deal.

How the fuck do you think they got them?

They over ran areas controlled by the Iraqi military and captured the weapons we gave them.

Well I'd say "controlled" is a bit of a stretch. From what I've read the Iraqi army barely put up a fight whenever ISIS blew into town.

Gosh, the Iraqi military surrendering after barely putting up a fight. Who could have predicted that?

The US had a decade of brutal occupation to train those Iraqi troops.

Why were they not loyal to US interests?

We also know that the supposed moderate rebels have been giving US gifted weapons to al Nusra, so why not ISIS.

ISIS and the US have overlapping goals. They both want to get rid of Assad. ISIS wants to do it to build the Caliphate, the US to extend and cement control of the region.
Since Russia started bombing ISIS it is clear that the US has in fact been enabling ISIS and supporting them, indirectly at least.

Surely Syrians would be putting two and two together, now if not before, when ISIS uses American weapons against them

Are you aware that this actually happened ?
