He's this nice young boy from Ohio who wants Trump and Cruz to invite him over to play. His mother's a bit worried about that, though, because she's afraid they might get a little rough and Johnny would get himself an ouchie.

That moment it dawns on you that our species is facing the biggest existential threat in our history (global warming) and 'the leader of the free world' has Trump as a serious candidate.

Seems like most of the world is going tribal. Putin defends ethnic Russians outside the borders of Russia to bring back Soviet greatness. EU leaders are appalled at the rise of white supremacist and ethnics firster voters. Most of the rest of the world is focused on the Sunni tribe versus the Shi'a tribe or on how China is working to keep communist thinking non-ethnic Chinese people out. Why shouldn't the United States play too. We've seeing a make America white movement erupt like an engorged pimple at the urging of Orange Guy.

We have a world disease in the making and its not Zika virus. We're experiencing the opening act of water, water, where's the water and we're chasing around like rooster-less chickens after a rich Orange-haired guy who wants us to crow to his tune. Now that's how we get to some idiot shooting some nameless royal as the match lighting that finally gets us to use all those nice little bombs we have.

If the above is too complex for you think of it as water fear tribalization ushering in a new dark age if there is to be an age at all.

Really?? It's less warmongering to say you'll not only go after ISIS, but you'll kill their families as well and you'll reinstitute waterboarding and much worse?? I know Cruz said he'd carpet bomb the middle east, without actually understanding what carpet bombing is, but what Trump has said is definitely the most extreme.

Trump threatened Isis because Isis threatened America. And he threatened to do to them the exact same thing they do to others.
Hillary Clinton is far far worse. She has personally been involved in the destruction of entire nations that did not threaten America.
I can't see why this is so hard to get.

So, Trump's plan to deliberately have the military target the families of terrorists is more dangerous than Hillary's just not caring if they get killed?

When was America really great?

In the 1950's and 60's, at least in terms of the creation of the modern American middle class and the notion that your children will do better than you did.

This was the product of strong and wide union membership and a progressive tax system, where those who could more easily pay taxes paid more.

This nice arrangement began to become upset by the huge cost of Vietnam.

And once Reagan took power the rapid decline of the American middle class began, with the destruction of unions and the drive to make the tax system less progressive.

And we have seen a slow steady decline in the middle class with Republican and Democratic presidents, from Reagan to Clinton to GW to Obama.

And nothing will get any better for average working people under a Trump presidency.

I don't get how Trump promising to be a terrorist is better than anyone mongering a war. Maybe I'm just a traditionalist, but I kind of like the forms of war where there's at least a notion that some targets might be offlimits. That we might consider holding a politician accountable for certain acts.

Trump's promising to START with WAR CRIMES. If we 'moan' about what he's doing, he's going to say 'Don't act surprised. I'm fulfilling my campaign promise, I have a mandate from the people.'
