Christian Lawmakers Group Blames Satan After Twitter Poll Goes Badly Awry

First of all, WTF? There shouldn't be a "Christian Lawmakers" group. We need American lawmakers making constitutional laws, not fucking Christian ones making Christian laws. Second of all, does this association have open membership among lawmakers, or do they discriminate on the basis of religion? Third of all - oh never mind. People are fucking stupid. If they want Muslim Law or Christian Law I guess they're going to get it. But do they HAVE to elect these superstitious morons?

Looks like an error in that headline.
They are quoted as blaming Satanists in the article.

I'm sure they blame Satan, too, but probably quietly, and they won't name him in any lawsuit.

I do like how they feel that someone even participating in the poll is committing religious persecution. That's special.

I don't think they distinguish between Satan and Satan's minions. They're all of a piece, including Muslims, Catholics, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists - IOW most of humanity.

Heh - there's no flakes like snowflakes. But you have to admire their largesse in claiming Trump as one of their own! (speaking of minions...) :hysterical:

No, of course not.
I am not taking issue with their highly self-serving inventory of enemies.
But from the journalist's editor's point of view, if you're going to headline "people are blaming Satan," then the story should say "people are blaming Satan."

Heh - there's no flakes like snowflakes.
True. The article says the group was created because there are too many witches in the country, so they're forming up to persecute that religion, but it's UNFAIR to persecute THEIR religion.

Since I know that some conservative Christians believe that we atheists are controlled by Satan, I guess we can consider ourselves enemies of these idiots too.

Jesus fukcing Christ! I just watched the video about Satanic pregnancies. WTF is wrong with these nasty assholes?

A women televangelist asks Jesus to cause miscarriages for all Satanic pregnancies, and then later says she was speaking metaphorically. WTF! More evidence that Idiocracy has come to America.

Yeah, they list atheists, specifically, as committing 'religious persecution' for taking part in their online survey.

These are the people that post their credit card numbers online, to buy something by tweet, then have the audacity to look surprised when unauthorized charges show up. "I didn't post it for every Tom, Dick, and Halberd to use!"

A women televangelist
Trump's Spiritual Advisor asks Jesus to cause miscarriages for all Satanic pregnancies, and then later says she was speaking metaphorically. WTF! More evidence that Idiocracy has come to America.
And here we see why Trump won't believe Pelosi prays for him.
For The Donald, prayer is either for his success or for his enemies' destruction. Never mind individual commandments or a generally understood policy of being religiously opposed to, for example, abortion.
So he can only interpret Pelosi's prayers as either being for The Donald to succeed, and escape punishment, or for Pelosi herself to suffer setbacks.

When you say woman televangelist, you mean, President Trump's spiritual adviser.

article]Paula White, a Florida televangelist and religious adviser to President Trump, defended herself Sunday after a video circulated online of her calling for the miscarriage of “satanic pregnancies,” language that she said was taken out of context by critics.

She was taken out of context, but she kinda fails to see there is no 'good' context with her statement.

ETA: looks like K&Co beat me to it, but I have a link. *smug*

"Taken out of context" is just a standard dismissal of criticism. Useful when dealing with people who actually read the transcript, the tweet, the scripture. "I didn't REALLY say what you're accusing me of saying by quoting me saying it."
Ultimately a meaningless defense. Even a metaphorical plea for abortions means you don't hold abortion to be anathema.

Of course not, how would they serve him?

Do you really believe that nonsense? Pelosi wouldn't know the difference between a prayer and a poem.
