I see Lion ,I couldn't help myself . I don't interrupt on threads "outside" the Religious sections of the forum, unless few times, in some discussions , God etc, slips into the coversation. The "life without religion" section we won't engage in, being the atheists pov's to religion to discuss amongst the other atheists obviously.

If it was sincere, Lion would have privately messaged Learner, without emoji's indicating the pretense of a quiet aside...

Historically the major threat to Christians have been other Christians. I know Christians who have a deep hate of Catholics and Mormons. Christianity feeds on fear.

fear and a belief in singular access to The Truth.

The first Churh-State Separation lawsuit was over school prayer.
The plaintiffs were Catholic parents whose children were suffering thru Baptist prayers at school. Intolerable.

There was a show on PBS on Amerixan atheism and a specific family in the early 29th centuyey. You get get into serious troble by being an outspoken atheist.

Lion can not understand atheism is not nweccrily anti religion, but atheists have a right to react to hostile threats and demonization.

Italians, Jews, and Irish all formed anti defamation organizations to fight social bias. Atheists have the same right to defend aghast harmful social stereotypes.
