That these people think the best way to restore their credibility is by going on reality TV speaks volumes.

It's a way to end an argument I suppose., because I'm as confused as fuck. What does this mean...
Same here. Is it because there are five murders in the US for every one in Australia? Or that we ceased being governed by the UK through acts of parliament rather than a bloody revolution? Or that four US presidents were shot dead at least one wounded and several presidential candidates shot dead or wounded, but not one Australian prime minister? Could it be that every change of government in Australia since its founding as a nation was effected via the ballot box*, while the US experienced a civil war in which more US soldiers were killed than in all other wars the US has participated since?

Madison Cawthorn's tweet should read: "Next time right-winger asks you why we need to abolish the Second Amendment, say "Australia" and walk away."

*Well, apart from some skulduggery involving the Governor General, the leader of the opposition and a high court judge in 1974, which resulted in the sacking of the Whitlam government and a premature election.

What he means is Australia's policies and restrictions during Covid-19, which saved the lives of tens of thousands of people, wouldn't have happened if Australia had guns. Which umm...

Yeah, this guy hasn't actually done anything in his life to be in Congress to run a pet shop. So this level of stupid should be expected.

Pretty sad that is the entire GOP now.
I wouldn't say the entire GOP. There are three wings.

The oldish school (McConnells and Grahams). Mostly in the Senate, though a decent number in the House. Their goal is to push GOP agenda... tax cuts and judicial nominees and obstruction.

The far right-wing (Jordans, Gaetz). Hyper-partisan. Will say or do anything to win an election. A few in Senate and shy of a majority in the House. They tried to overthrow the will of the people on January 6th.

The alt-right fringe (Cawthorn, Boehart, Greene, Hawley, Cotton, Trump). Mussolini and Nazi-lite authoritarians. These people are a-political and are gaming towards right-wing authoritarian rule of the nation. They are mental lightweights with large agendas. They will say and do anything. Mostly in the House. They tried to overthrow the will of the people on January 6th and were posting intel on the whereabouts of Pelosi.

Remember when Orrin Hatch was the far-right?

T****'s Thoughts on the War in the Ukraine

Recently a former President of the United States was asked to comment on the Ukrainian War — where will it go? The response focused on ... Windmills!

The video of the interview has been removed by YouTube but, as of right now, you can still watch the relevant excerpt care of The Young Turks.

45th President of the United States when asked about the Ukraine War said:
Well, and I said this a long time ago, if this happens, we are playing right into their hands. Green energy. The windmills. They don't work. They're too expensive. They kill all the birds. They ruin your landscapes. And yet the environmentalists love the windmills. And I've been preaching this for years. The windmills. And I had them way down. But the windmills are the most expensive energy you can have. And they don't work. And by the way, they last a period of 10 years and by the time they start rusting and rotting all over the place, nobody ever takes them down. They just go on to the next piece of prairie or land and destroy that.

Is now a bad time to point out more guns are privately owned in Australia nowadays than were pre-Port Arthur?
Jimmy Higgins is wrong, but you picked the wrong article to make your point. It is a beatup the Sydney Morning Herald should have left to the gutter press.

There is a common misinterpretation that the 1996 legislation was about banning firearms. It was about taking only the types of firearms out of circulation that were suitable for mass killings - semi-automatic and pump action guns.

The firearms increase from 3.2m to 3.6m between 1996 and 2017 represents a rise of 12.5%. In the same period Australia's population grew from 18.3m to 24.6m, that is by 34.4%.

Trust me, I know. And Jimmy is actually right. Madison Cawthorne does actually believe all guns are illegal in Australia. There is zero reason to include nuance to a discussion where someone like him is involved.; it's as futile as punching a tree to death.

No... it isn't April Fool's Day.
article said:
“Many people are asking, so I’ll give it to you now, it is 100% true,” the statement began. He said he was playing at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, with pro golfers Ernie Els, Gene Sauers, Ken Duke and Mike Goodes, when “I made a hole-in-one.”
He actually released a statement on it. Typical Trump stuff about really nothing at all and typical contradictions we expect from him. That he released a statement about how he hit a hole-in-one is rather... well... "SAD!"

No, no. Remember, in 2016 he promised he'd be too busy in the Oval Office to golf. Now he's making up for lost time. And it's a challenge to voters. If we don't put him back in office, we'll have to know he's out there, hole-in-one-ing, and getting better at it from practice. We'll never catch up!

Oklahoma GOP U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Markwayne Mullin Tuesday is introducing a resolution to expunge former President Donald Trump's first impeachment – saying Democrats didn't prove "high crimes and misdemeanors."

Mullin's nine-page resolution, if passed by the House, would declare "expunged" Trump's 2019 impeachment over allegedly leveraging U.S. military aid to Ukraine for political favors involving investigations of the Bidens. It accused Democrats of “flippantly exercising one of the gravest and most consequential powers with which the House of Representatives is charged.”

So, how will this play in the history books?
Three United States presidents have been impeached, although none were convicted: Andrew Johnson was in 1868, Bill Clinton was in 1998, and Donald Trump once (twice*, in 2019 and) 2021.

*Republicans trying to suck Bonespurs' limp cock have attempted to remove his impeachment, and their complicity, from the official record. It's an entirely symbolic gesture, as the facts are recorded alllllllllllll over the internet. Thus ensuring that even out of office, Trump's administration remains a singular laughingstock in American politics.

Move Tricksy Dickins to the left of Bill, make the red circle more of an oval, tilt to the left. New oval, piss yellow'd be fave, tilt to the right, mark it 'Second Breakfast Impeachment...'
Needs to be another lonely circle labeled something like "still refuses to believe he's not President anymore."

Fragilego Mussolini still sends out missives from "The Office of Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States." I'd hazard a guess that when new employees of his "office" are going through the onboarding process, they are reminded repeatedly that if "the President" interacts with them, the one word they are forbidden from uttering or writing is "former" and are strongly cautioned against speaking of his Presidency in the past tense.

Well, technically, the proper form of address for any pol is the highest office they achieved, unless they actively fill another one. So, he is correctly addressed as President Bonespurs, while referred to as Former President Fuckface v. Clownstick.
They are not Mr. President, that's just one person, the one who gets the big chair.
It's just, usually, they don't have a tantrum if you mess that up.

So, once more, Trump asked Russia for foreign interference in a US Presidential Election. He wants Putin to get dirt on Hunter Biden.

Can someone explain to me why, if Bonespurs is THE president who has been the toughest on Putin, EVER, why would Putin even want to help him?
Why would Bonespurs expect such help?
Why does Wile E. ask the Roadrunner for help negotiating his outstanding bill at ACME?

A tale of two Easter Greetings:

“As we reflect today on Christ’s Resurrection, we are reminded that with faith, hope, and love — even death can be defeated,” the president tweeted. “From our family to yours, we wish you hope, health, joy, and the peace of God, which passes all understanding. Happy Easter and may God bless and keep you.”

“Happy Easter to all including the Radical Left Maniacs who are trying everything to destroy our country. May they not succeed, but let them, nevertheless, be happy, healthy, wealthy and well!”

You choose who said which one.

As a late addition:
Happy Easter to failed gubernatorial candidate and racist Attorney General Letitia James. May she remain healthy despite the fact that she will continue to drive business out of New York while at the same time keeping crime, death, and destruction in New York

Without looking it up likely Obama or Biden. Suitably non-vicious.

Well, this is bananas.

According to former President Donald Trump, hurling a fruit at someone can be a lethal act—one that justifies the use of violence to thwart any use of produce as projectile.

In transcripts of an October 2021 deposition, filed in court on Tuesday, the twice-impeached former president insisted tomatoes, pineapples, and bananas can be “very dangerous” weapons that justify violent acts of “self-defense.” (Elsewhere in the just-released deposition, The Daily Beast reported, Trump admitted he personally oversaw the pay of a Trump Organization exec whose corporate perks have come under legal scrutiny in a tax fraud case.)

Sen. Collins, please take a bow.

Gee... I wonder if justices selected by others for Trump to appoint would be against Roe v Wade.

That's Klaus Schwab, head of the World Economic Forum, and therefore head of the New World Order, because they both have world in the name.

Zelensky is a suitable heir to the NWO throne, being a fanatical globalist.

Also, Putin is an anti-globalist and anti-fascist hero.
