Despite having irrational religious beliefs, you may still admire them for their intelligence, morality, courage, etc.

I admire MLK, Jr. and would like to read more on him someday. He seemed a great leader and very moral.

I read Mother Teresa's book. I thought she was remarkable given the Catholic baggage. She had critics and detractors. She seemed pragmatic in spite of faith.

If theer is any truth to the story, Buddha. He went off alone for yearss figuring things out for himself guided by experience and experiment.
