Donald Trump Advocates Return of Stop and Frisk

"It worked incredibly well." I trust Trump's judgment. :hysterical:

No surprise there.

One Trump episode I haven't seen during the campaign is his denial of the Central Park Five's exoneration.

Following a 14-year court battle, the Central Park Five settled a civil case with the city for $41m in 2014. But far from offering an apology for his conduct in 1989, Trump was furious.

In an opinion piece for the New York Daily News, he described the case as the “heist of the century”.

“Settling doesn’t mean innocence, but it indicates incompetence on several levels,” Trump wrote, alluding to how police and prosecutors initially involved in the case have long maintained the five boys were involved in the rape, even after the convictions were thrown out.

Yes, let's make police harassment legal. That will solve the image problem the cops have with the public.

And this policy announcement was at his African American outreach town-hall. Reach out and do what to them?
There was at least one black man in the room, he left shortly after that policy announcement.

Trump could get the votes of the black community if he would stress his Kenyan birth more. What's holding him back?

Well, his outreach to the black community has nothing to do with the black community. It's about trying to convince suburban whites that he's not a complete racist so that they wouldn't feel so uncomfortable about voting for him. Since the black community is completely irrelevant to his outreach to the black community, it's not particularly relevant how they do or do not take what he says.

Unfortunately, against the wishes of the OP, this thread has become all about Donald Trump and has nothing to do with the policy that he advocated.

With focus like that, how do any of you people even manage to find your way from the bedroom to the kitchen in the morning?

Not really against my wishes. I just assumed it would center more on the policy and not on Trump. If the mods feel it should be moved, have at it.

Well, S&F has been tried, and found unconstitutional. So what's left to discuss? Why, Trumpy's advocacy for yet another unconstitutional activity - that's what.

We're still waiting for the predicted apocalyptic crime wave to appear. I guess the criminal element is slow in the uptake.

No surprise there.
I don't know. It seems quite surprising the size of his balls seem to be while cuddling up with African Americans in churches and then calling for stop and frisk, a policy that would not be allowable for a moment if whites were to experience it much, and using code language to tell angry whites that he'll take care of the 'black problem'.

In one web board I'm on, a few seem certain actual anarchy will happen if Clinton is elected.

While homicides are higher this year, the whole 'they are still at historical lows' seem to escape these people.

Okay, let's look at murders now:

What part is Trumpy having trouble with?

New York City. That's what I was referring to. Homicides are down, as is all crime.

Anyway, that little uptick hardly qualifies as apocalyptic.

It was the same with the NYPDs DeBlasio hissy fit. No one even noticed their slowdown, and it quietly died.

Well, he wants to become President and appoint a few members of the Supreme Court. That changes what is or is not unconstitutional.

We know from the court's Heller decision that stare decicis doesn't matter much to conservative court appointees.

I did not realize that Trump involved himself so much in that case. Good grief, as if my opinion of him couldn't sink any lower.
