Neocon Donald Rumsfeld has passed away at the age of 88.

"It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Donald Rumsfeld, an American statesman and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. At 88, he was surrounded by family in his beloved Taos, New Mexico," the Rumsfeld family said in a statement.

"History may remember him for his extraordinary accomplishments over six decades of public service, but for those who knew him best and whose lives were forever changed as a result, we will remember his unwavering love for his wife Joyce, his family and friends, and the integrity he brought to a life dedicated to country."

I know there won't be a dry eye in Iraq when this news comes out. Over 100,000 Iraqis died and 1,000,000 displaced due in large part to this asshole.

I remember that picture.
It's Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam Hussein. Rumsfeld had just pulled off a crime, delivering military hardware to Iraq's invasion of Iran. Congress had forbidden that, so Rumsfeld worked out a deal with Egypt. USA taxpayers would supply Egypt with more tanks if Egypt gave tanks to Iraq. So Egypt did.

Rumsfeld was evil. And a solid Republican.
If there is an especially hot corner of Hell for people like Hitler and Pol Pot, Rumsfeld just joined them.
