This video may shock some leftists on here who have never been in a ghetto and don't know what reality is like. After watching this video, and understanding this is a town run by Democrats, please explain to me what could possibly justify this behavior. It is truly sad and disturbing at the same time.

Does anyone truly think these people are trying their hardest? Or does it seem they have given up completely?

After watching this, can you finally understand why Republicans are desperately pleading with blacks to stop voting for the Dems and handouts? No excuse for grown human beings of any race to act like this.

What behavior is it are you objecting to?

Everything. Do you consider this normal behavior? Did you see the guy and girl dancing in the street at around the 2:15 mark? Why not put that energy into working or studying?

As one comment put it, "All these people must be successful entrepreneurs to be able to party all night in the streets and not have to be up for work.":biggrina:

It looks pretty normal to me. The dancers too. Looks like a hot summer night, guessing from the water in the street that a hydrant had been opened. If you walk into an all white buttoned up cocktail party, do you wonder why everyone isn't working?

Disclaimer: I lived in Detroit's Cass Corrider for four years.

FWIW, it looks as if the driver went down the same blocks repeatedly.

Apparently, in HL's world, it is not possible for black people hanging out at night in Detroit to have worked or studied during the day. Nor is it possible that the evening in question is a holiday evening or too late at night for most jobs. Nope, those it must that "those people" are simply lazy leeches.

Wow! Nobody had a problem when white guys advocated dancing in the streets.

They are blocking public streets for one.
The moving vehicle kept moving, so how were those public streets "blocked"?

I used to drive home from that area over 30 years ago. Whenever there were people in the street, they always moved out of the way - even at night.

Even granting that, it's pretty trivial. But then again, you're talking with a person who wanted teenagers arrested for walking too slowly across the street. Not admonished, mind you, or ordered to speed up, but arrested. His attitude borders on lunacy.

LMAO

If you think dancing in the streets is a problem.... I dunno what to say to you.

This is disgusting and must be addressed immediately! Why can't blacks set on deck chairs all day popping oxy and fucking their cousin in the trailer like good white welfare recipients? They need to live a few weeks in a red state like Kentucky or South Carolina to see how it is done properly.

Yeah, like Halfie has ever driven though Detroit's worst neighborhood.

"some leftists on here who have never been in a ghetto"

Your lily-white ass hasn't been down Rosa Parks Boulevard, or anything inside of 8 Mile Road, or probably anywhere near Detroit.

I have. I grew up in the Detroit area, and you haven't got the slightest idea what it's really like there. I know you watch that video, see scary black people in the street and freak out, but I watch it and think "that's just a typical night."

People are out in the street socializing, playing music, and dancing. What's the terrible crime being perpetrated on this video? Nothing as far as I can see.

Is Detroit a tough town? Yeah. Are there some neighborhoods you might want to avoid? Sure. But there's also some wonderful parts of downtown. When I was home a couple months ago, we went to a nice Cuban restaurant in downtown and it was great. If you head over to Corktown, you can check out Slows BBQ, which has long wait times but it's totally worth it. There's also some fantastic architecture downtown, historic buildings, and a very diverse culture.

Detroit's actually been on the rebound for years.

Oh, and the "leftist" argument falls apart when you remember that the biggest employers in the city are (and were during the decline) the auto industry, including what was at one time the largest employer in the country...General Motors. Capitalists through and through. The Motor City was the "Arsenal of Democracy" during WWII, drove the economic engine of the post-war period, and oh...now that I think about it was also the home of Motown Records and the heart and soul of rock and roll.

Do us all a favor and shut the fuck up about things you know nothing about.

Middle Class Blacks v. Underclass Blacks: Detroit

Three years ago, Lamar Grace left Detroit for the suburb of Southfield. He got a good deal — a 3,000-square-foot colonial that once was worth $220,000. In foreclosure, he paid $109,000.

The neighbors were not pleased.

"They don't want to live next door to ghetto folks," he says.

That his neighbors are black, like Grace, is immaterial. Many in the black middle class moved out of Detroit and settled in the northern suburbs years ago; now, due to foreclosures, it is easy to buy or rent houses on the cheap here. The result has been a new, poorer wave of arrivals from the city, and growing tensions between established residents and the newcomers.

The neighbors say there's more to it than that. People like John Clanton, a retired auto worker, say the new arrivals have brought behavior more common in the inner city — increased trash, adults and children on the streets at all times of the night, a disregard for others' property.

"During the summer months, I sat in the garage and at 3 o'clock in the morning you see them walking up and the down the streets on their cell phones talking," Clanton says. "They pull up (in cars) in the middle of the street, and they'll hold a conversation. You can't get in your driveway. You blow the horn and they look back at you and keep on talking. That's all Detroit."

"I've got people of color who don't want people of color to move into the city," says Southfield Police Chief Joseph Thomas, who is himself black. "It's not a black-white thing. This is a black-black thing. My six-figure blacks are very concerned about multiple-family, economically depressed people moving into rental homes and apartments, bringing in their bad behaviors."

For example, "They still think it's OK to play basketball at 3 o'clock in the morning; it's OK to play football in the streets when there's a car coming; it's OK to walk down the streets three abreast. That's unacceptable in this city."

Note that one of the biggest factors driving the hood is the drug war. The drug war the Republicans keep trying to double down on and the left keeps trying to pull back.

Ya know, the last time Detroit had a Republican mayor JFK was still alive.

Everything. Do you consider this normal behavior? Did you see the guy and girl dancing in the street at around the 2:15 mark? Why not put that energy into working or studying?

Because Hip Hop is fucking awesome. For more people than you'd like to think, Hip Hop is the most substantive developmental influence in their life from a very early age. Growing up without a proper education or responsible parents and substituting with street knowledge and Hip Hop is the norm. With Youtube and social media platforms in place now, a huge army is training to dance in the street and waste tax money. The Hip Hop training (including parental neglect) results is a really immature person. Impatient, feeling entitled to fast money, doing crimes and causing probs. You know the type.

You can just hope that Hip Hop is going to start appearing as tacky as it actually is. The spell will hopefully wear off and it will turn into something less dangerous. I worry because lately they're pushing some material that really is poison to the mind. Devastating to the youth, and the drug statistics rise due to it. No song should be 85% instructions on how to abuse pharmaceuticals and the rest moaning. No song on the TOP 40, anyway. Glad we agree. I'm all about artistic freedom but why is this shit played in superhero movies, Superbowl commercials.. and the fucking Superbowl! Direct messages saying that drugs are the norm and irresponsibility pays. Vanity is good. I mean Good God the messages these artists are being influenced to push shouldn't be so widely pushed and consumed.

What should worry you most is this, and sorry I put this so stupidly but it is very true in today's tech strangled society. Popular stuff is not popular because it's the most widely liked stuff. Nor is it the most popular stuff because it makes the most money. The most popular stuff is all about controlling what people do. Now go look at the most popular content being pushed in the Hip Hop operating system and do the math. Look at the outlooks and the attitudes. You should be way more worried than you already are.

As for the video, they call that behavior "being a nigger", Half-Life. And the danger levels in the video seem pretty low. They're sedated and distracted. Notice how peacefully they part when a car approaches. Any white city can look like that at night, with whites acting like niggers worse than blacks ever could. Unfortunately no phrase can encompass the act of being a nigger better than being a nigger., and I do see how it could seem racist. Being a major nigger myself, in every pathetic way imaginable, I feel that I am incapable of using the word nigger derogatorily.
