Looks like we have a live one - a rare case of actual election fraud that probably resulted in a congressman being fraudulently "elected". Not a single peep out the WH on this, which lends further credence to the probability that this was a criminal endeavor.

Republicans were upset about election fraud — before it threatened their candidate

Nationally, the specter of voter fraud has also become a fixation for Republicans. But many of the prominent party officials who have complained about supposed voting issues, such as Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (Wis.) and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, have remained silent about the investigation in North Carolina. President Trump, who has made unsupported conspiracy theories and unfounded claims about fraudulent votes a hallmark of his presidency, also has said nothing about the issue in the state.

Republicans are now circling the wagons against a re-do of the election, but this appears to be headed to court, where a lot of light will be shined on what happened (and has been happening) in North Carolina elections. Suddenly, election fraud is no big deal in the minds of the republicans whose hair has been on fire about it for months.
Go figure, right?

They are too busy complaining about Columbia University putting the hook on a comedian.

I think election fraud is only a problem when it's done by illegal aliens sneaking across the border to vote. If it's done by proper American citizens (that's code for white people if it was too subtle for anyone to notice), then they're just really, really exercising their freedom to vote. Their ancestors gave their lives fighting the Union in order to preserve the freedom to have white men be more important and valuable than everyone else and complaining about their taking advantage of this freedom is just spitting in the face of the sacrifices by those brave soldiers.

Pelosi said that the Dems won't seat the Republican cheater until this mess is cleared up, and it's determined that he actually won. It is ironic how the Rs scream voter fraud until one of their own may have won an election by using voter fraud.

You mean their freedom to rig elections if they think they can get away with it?

I don't think that government bureaucrats should have the authority to define was does or does not constitute proper voting procedures. Everyone should be free to decide that for themselves.

Which, afaik, has NEVER happened before. And this isn't voter fraud, it's ELECTION fraud. All previous instances of election fraud that I know of were VOTER fraud, where a voter (republican, usually) voted more than once or in the wrong district or State, not fraud perpetrated by people running the election. Am I wrong about that?

There have been prior instances that the dems basically just let slide and said "don't do it again". This time, the GOP really got so blatant and sloppy about it, it couldn't be ignored, and there is enough public backlash that the dems aren't afraid of 'looking like bad losers' or whatever the fuck the GOP spinsters are trying to paint them with.
