Why do some people have caverns over their eyeballs (Pelosi, Pence)?
Why do some people have bulging eyes (Rickles)
Other?

It seems like for many eye shapes, there are changes during a lifetime. So what causes those?
Hydration? Thyroid? Something?

Genetics. Try searching on human skull types.

Also noses, chins, ears, and teeth.

It seems like people get “sunken eyes” at various times that doesn’t match genetics.
My chin hasn’t changed significantly in my life.
Though at times with lack of sleep I get “baggy eyes”.
But I meant not what they were born with, but what seems to happen to some but not others.

Hyperthyroidism causes the eyes to bulge.

Today they many times take out the thyroid or part of it and give thyroid replacement.

The eyes return to normal.

The loss of fat in the skin, common in later years, can make the eyes look sunken in.

Constant bone loss with middle and old age of the bone of the eye socket.

Getting old sucks.

Kind of funny though to see old people who have had a lot of work done, but so far no way to rebuild eye socket bone.
