Did a bad photo op change history? No. But the image of Michael Dukakis riding around in a tank during the 1988 presidential campaign tells us a lot about how campaigns do and don’t work.

On an ape indoctrinated in a certain way.

We could also indoctrinate apes to be immune to meaningless imagery or irrational arguments.

It is possible to "cash in" on the irrationality of Americans.

This usually makes one a Republican.

Democrats "cash in" in other ways, like old time graft.

The song's message and lyrics are ridiculous but it is catchy. Probably overusing chord progressions that a professional musician would scoff at.
