Forbidden fruit = electricity

In a sense, yes. If you take a live wire and put it on your tongue in order to try and eat the electricity, things are going to turn out badly for you. When a snake asks you to do that, tell that snake to go fuck itself.

The forbidden fruit was knowledge.

And after eating the fruit, the man and woman noticed that the webcam light was on and god had been streaming them the entire time.

When Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, they realized they were naked and that was apparently, evil. That God sure is a joker. Why didn't God tell them about that? Why do so few theists read this silly tale and note this little embaressment on God's part?

So, when God was walking around in Eden chatting with them, did he have clothes on? One would hope so, because he was yelling at them and stuff after they ate the apple and it would be really awkward to have some naked dude standing there yelling at you.

Maybe nobody had any naughty bits until after "the fall".

I don't even know how to respond to that. If you think that eating apples makes people grow penises, then you would seem to have a lot to learn about both apples and penises. :)

Ahh, you are forgetting that they were magic apples. Regular apples do not give the eater knowledge of good and evil. Magic apples could give them both knowledge and penises.

:p

"Good and Evil" equates to 'all knowledge', not knowing morality.

We all different, but in the end, we all fruit.

I agree, seems the obvious meaning of the allegory. No self awareness and knowledge and no sin or corruption.

"Ignorance is bliss." Heaven is eternal bliss. But willful ignorance is like a blister. Eventually turns into callous thoughts.

Man and woman don't get that far though. The question is, why is god upset that the fruit is eaten? Many reasons are suggested.

  • Ignored gods command, though technically we don't know if god ever actually created a rule not to eat the fruit, he may have merely warned them that it'd be dangerous
  • Search for knowledge, god was upset that man and woman would dare to seek out knowledge to know things for themselves, it wasn't good enough that god told them what was
  • God is an asshole and wanted to keep man and woman as underlings, and didn't want them as equals. This is supported the most in the actual scripture as it is the reason man and woman are booted from the Garden... if they eat from the tree of life, they become no different than gods.
  • Michael Bay wrote himself into a corner and just panicked.
