Harsh rules from William The Conquerer's time made life in England hard for every one. The revolt against right of kings most famously is well known as giving us the Magna Carta, which mostly concerned controversies of kings and nobles. A few years later, unrest in England forces changes and we had the Magna Foresta. A big change that established commoners had rights, kings and nobles could not rightfully ignore. Little known history.
