FOX News suspended Erika Reidt for posting a comment about a picture showing basketball players wearing this t-shirt:

la-sp-ln-kobe-bryant-protest-not-race-but-justice-20141210

The t-shirt is a reference to the Eric Garner grand jury decision (Eric Garner was choked to death by the police). Her comment was this:

Erika Reidt on Instagram said:
I’m gonna start wearing a shirt that says I can breathe because I obey the law

While her comment is indeed disgusting, I don't understand why FOX News seems to think this is any more disgusting than any of the other things being said by conservatives on this issue. Why was this worth a suspension? Supporting acts of police brutality (particularly against African-Americans) is inherently part of the "I'm for small government" part of the conservative ideology they push at FOX News. What is it about this particular comment that they regard as being so bad?

Is this evidence that FOX News is moving away from the extreme far right? Is this an indication that the public is moving away from the extreme far right? Is this evidence that FOX News is becoming part of the international media conspiracy against white people (i.e. "political correctness")?

Fox is a little right of the extreme and wants to keep from alienating sportsball fans.

The twitter feed is reveling.

Near as I can tell she works for Fox Deportes (Spanish sports channel), not Fox News.

(Worth a google if you like curvy latin women.)

Yeah, not certain where "Fox News" is coming from. Works for Newscorp, yes.

This idea that if you break the law, your life is suddenly open to forfeit is very bizarre.
