Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Friday she is undergoing chemotherapy to treat a recurrence of cancer.

The treatment is yielding "positive results," the 87-year-old liberal justice said in a statement, adding that she remains "fully able" to continue in her post.
Owing to her age and long medical history, Ginsburg's health is the subject of widespread interest given her status as a liberal icon. The prospect that President Donald Trump could name a third justice to the Supreme Court would also be a major election issue.

Earlier this week, Ginsburg was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore after having a fever and chills, and undergoing an "endoscopic procedure to clean out a bile duct stent that was placed last August," the court said at the time.

I think I speak for most of us when I say, "Oh fucking gawd, please don't die!"

It is currently unknown if McConnell remains erect after first hearing about the news on Ginsburg's health.

I know what you mean. To be honest, I've been pissed off at RBG for a long time. I thought she should have retired during Obama's first term. She has had so many health problems over the last 10 or so years. The ego of these SCOTUS justices is crazy. Are you old enough to remember when Rehnquist died in office? The old fool was 93 and he had cancer too. No position should be for life imo. It's crazy.

My husband and I were joking last night that if she dies, we should do what they did in that goofy movie, "Weekend at Bernies". In other words, dress up the corpse to make her seem like she's still alive until after the election. ;)

Anyway, despite what McConnel did to Obama, he's already hinted with a smirk on his face, that no matter how late it is in Trump's term, he will try to get another judge voted in to replace RBG if she dies. RBG said that despite the cancer, she will still be able to do her job. Sheesh. Let's hope she makes it to at least next February.
