It is a thing, but mostly with pregnant women IIRC from microbiology.
But I do wonder what the number of cases of toxoplasmosis vs. severe/deadly dog attacks are per year.
Anyway...
Cats are such neat creatures. I wish I could have one the size of a Rottweiler... okay, I want a pet mountain lion that I could train like a dog. Talk about a guard-animal.

We had a lady here in town many, many years ago that had a pet lion. She became somewhat of a celebrity here. She had a victorian house that had two large lion gargoyles adorning the house's front porch. The house itself has been sitting empty for many year but it has become legendary here. The city just recently decided to renovate the home instead of demolishing it.
