Since I'm finally looking at buying a home soon, I have been thinking about some of the nice things I've always wanted, but never got around to installing or just purchasing.

One of the things is a small home weather station, similar to this: Amazon Link

Anyone have any experience or recommendations? I've been going through a few tech sites and reading reviews, but it's always good to get opinions from people with personal experience.

I'm also wondering about the best place to install it to get accurate wind readings. Seems like in a neighborhood with mostly 2 story homes, installing it at ground level is going to give pretty inaccurate readings for wind speed/direction. I may have to look at installing it possibly up high on the side of the house, or similar less impeded location.
