At a Republican candidate forum for Idaho lieutenant governor, State Sen. Bob Nonini stated that he believed women who seek abortions should be put to death on a “case by case” basis.

The forum was hosted by the Christian podcast CrossPolitic, who posed the question of whether women should face capital punishment for abortion. Nonini responded, “Yes. There should be no abortion and anyone who has an abortion should pay.”

Nonini tried to half soften his statement a few hours later, saying “no woman has ever been prosecuted” for abortion for “practical reasons” and that his wife disagrees with his stance on the death penalty. But he stopped short of actually taking back his words.

He should serve jail time for masturbation.

Killing people expressly because killing people is wrong...

If you’re pro-death penalty, and think abortion is murder, then the statement makes sense within that worldview. At least this chap is honest about it I suppose...

As long as it's the woman who gets punished for scheduling a murder.

Wouldn't the death penalty be more appropriately awarded to the doctor who actually takes the baby's life?

A large number of doctors are actually white males, so this doesn't sound like it would be a viable solution.

Naw, that is a contract killing.

I probably shouldn't say it, because we'll be hearing it from the right-wing next.

There is no animal stupider than a Christian.

stupider isn't a word.
That's okay, these types of Christians aren't pro-life either.

Says who?

No dictionary says what isn't a word.

You don't say what isn't a word.

A word is just a group of letters that has a meaning.

Are you saying stupider has no meaning? You can't make out the sentence?

The boxes some minds exist in.

You seriously need to learn how to pick battles.

I do what amuses me at the moment.

You need to mind your own business.

In Exodus, if you cause an unborn to die, you pay a fine to the dad. And he gets to set the price.
UNLESS the unborn dies as a test of the wife's fidelity. The priest isn't punished if she miscarries, he just did his job.

Oooh! Maybe abortion clinics could just become fidelity test facilities IAW Numbers 5: 21-28? Praise the lord and pass the bitter-herb beverage.

Oooh, another fatwah issued by a Republican politician. They sure do love their fatwahs, don't they?

Yeah you seem very amused right now...At any rate what I took issue with wasn't "Stupider" that's more of a surface level nitpick. What I actually took issue with was your completely undeserved presumption of intellectual superiority over the believers.

Well, now...This thread looks to be one where those long time members of this board get to piss all over their own TOU and nobody blinks.

If abortion is murder, then it is basically a contract murder and both the hitman (doctor) and the person putting out the hit (mother) should be charged with murder, just like with any other contract murder.
