Implant Nuclear Launch Codes in Volunteer's Heart

What if you simply cut your way into the safe?
With what?
Strangely, all the safes are designed to resist anything that's carried on board the submarine....

One's designed to rebuff most of the stuff in the refit facility, too.

A safe can only delay entry, it can't prevent it.

Really? How long do you think it would take you to get into a safe, without the combination, and using only the tools typically found on board a submarine - bearing in mind that the safe was explicitly designed to be resistant to those tools typically found on board the submarine?

And somebody can't bring more tools??

Sure. Anybody can just stroll on board carrying drills, explosives, X-ray equipment, you name it. Nobody bothers with security when a nuclear missile submarine is in harbour

And if you control the sub you can't pick up stuff elsewhere?

Safes will prevent a spur-of-the-moment launch, they won't prevent something planned.

OK, it's your fantasy, so anything is possible. One person controlling the entire sub? Why not. Never mind that even the captain of the boat relies entirely on his crew; let's pretend that a single individual can run a submarine, and that the USN just send the rest of the crew along because they pissed off the admiral, and he wants them to live in a tin can for six months as revenge.
