islam is growing in the west

why white western christians converting to islam?

let me tell you what is the REAL reason so many white western christians converting to islam

1) trinity makes no sense

2) they turned to atheism or agnosticism

3) without religion they enjoy materialism and sex with multiple partners

4) bored with materialism and sex

5) became depressed

6) want to go back to religion for peace of mind

7) christianity makes NO sense

8) search all other religions except islam

9) then studies islam

10) found answer to their life long questions

11) bow down to allah

12) achieved peace of mind

CONCLUSION: TRINITY lead to DISBELIEVE in god AND atheist's LIFESTYLE lead to believe in god AGAIN

Everything we know is wrong (to some degree)
Islam is growing in the west because of the mass migration of Muslims fleeing to the west to escape the chaos, poverty, and strict control in many Islamic countries. Add to that the much higher birth rate of Muslims that are in the west and those newly entering than the birth rate of the non-Muslims. The small percentage of westerners converting to Islam and the small percentage Muslims converting to Christianity in the west make very little impact on the demographic shift.

What answers? What in particular does Islam have that they could not find in other religions?

other religion do have answer but islam's answer makes more sense to them for example

god is one

what is the purpose of life?

what is right and wrong

why god created human?

All of that is in the bible, both in the new testament and the old testament....which was copied and adapted by Mohammed in order to construct his own version, Islam. The basic ideas are not original. Nor are they supported by evidence. They are faith based beliefs.

Very nice, Syes. YOU don't understand the trinity, therefore no one understands the trinity.
You're not an atheist, therefore no one's going to stay an atheist for long.
That's compelling.

Too bad your whole post is just a line of horse shit.

As with the Famine Irish, if they face racism and prejudice, Muslim immigrants will hang on to superstition for a generation or two, but if treated as normal citizens they soon pack it in no time
In this country, except in racist Bradford, they are settling in very well..

Any increase in the number of Muslims is probably from immigration.

Muslim deconversion rates seem to be related to the deconversion rates of whatever country they are in, which should surprise no one.

Of course what is really interesting is the growth of atheism even in Muslim-majority countries.

what is right and wrong
Islam offers answers to this question. Christianity offers answers to this question. In fact, every religion offers answers to this question. Unfortunately, the Euthyphro dilemma proved thousands of years ago that no authority can make you more moral. Not religion, not imaginary gods, not real gods, not religious leaders, not the government, not ethics professors, no one. An authority can only demand obedience, which is not at all the same thing as morality.

why god created human?
You have to establish that your god exists first before you can hope to prove that he created humans.

Like many Christians, you think the important thing is to have answers. Having answers doesn't matter at all. Any fool can give you answers to any question as long as you don't care if the answers are true or not. What matters is not having answers, but having answers which are independently verifiable, and while religions offer lots of answers, none of them can offer answers of any real import or value.

This could result in much tighter censorship by the governments of Islamic countries. Sorta like North Koreans have no access to western media or internet so they can be kept ignorant of the rest of the world, only knowing what their government wants them to know.

Maybe we will even see the kind of censorship practiced in the early spread of Islam. When asked what to do about all the books in the great libraries of areas they conquered the answer was that if what is in the book agrees with the Quran then they are superfluous so should be burned. If what is in the books isn't in the Quran then it is heresy so should be burned.

Syed! You didn't respond to my post. Atheism is growing in the Muslim world. A great many ex-Muslims (and non-extremist Muslims) are aware and concerned about the inhumane, dogmatic, and destructive nature of Islamic culture.

Of course, true to form, those addled by your diseased religion seek to torture or kill anyone who challenges those corrupt and violent aspects of the belief system. They seek a better world for all people, yet your religion is a powerful force against those efforts, needing to resort to violence and abuse rather than admit wrong.

Don't be scared, Syed. They want a better world for you, too, even though you support the violent, backward one.

Well, he can't respond to that.
Christains becoming atheists validates his world view.
Christains becoming muslim validates his world view.
Atheists becoming muslim validates his world view.
Muslims becoming anything but muslim makes him uncomfortable. Therefore, he won't deal with it.

I'll cop to the idea that Islam is less confusing with respect to the Trinity concept. Even the RCC admitted that it's a "logical mystery."

But then, why not convert to Judaism? All you have there is good old Yahweh in all his glorious one-ness. OTOH, the whole kosher diet is kind of drag. I likes me some scrimp and Alaskan King Crab.

But why limit yourself to one god when you could worship many, like the Hindus do? And going back to the RCC, you have all the saints, which is an acknowledgment that people like multiple deities.

The ultimate question with respect to the one deity vs. more than one is this:

What makes the utter fantasy of the Koran any more believable because it has just one recognizable god? The claim that you have one big unicorn-pegasus is just as loopy as the claim that one has both unicorns and pegasi (pegasus's?). Both are horseshit claims and neither worthy of serious consideration

There is an interesting article in this week's Economist which says that the birth-rate amongst immigrants quickly comes to resemble that of the host country - even rising (here) for those from the Baltic and Poland. It is only in the Bradford area (where men send back to Pakistan to get wives who don't speak English) that you get archaic ideas, and I've had students from there whose opinions are pretty much identical to mine, particularly the female ones. In a country moving away from religion, very few fail to join the march.

1) trinity makes no sense
To me, it makes as much sense as anything else I'm told to believe... Eternal punishment for finite sins, for one. The fact that a supreme being cares about where i put my dick, for another. Or what i eat.
3) without religion they enjoy materialism and sex with multiple partners
Wish someone had told me. I have only ever had sex with Mrs. &Co.
4) bored with materialism and sex
I have enjoyed sex with Mrs. &Co. since 1985. Not bored yet. Maybe you're doing it wrong?
and as for materialism, i just bought the Ghostbusters Headquarters Lego set.
5) became depressed
Did you not hear me? The Ghostbusters FIREHOUSE! :D
6) want to go back to religion for peace of mind
Actually, more than a few sects don't even want me to be having sex with Mrs. &Co.
And they'll want 10% of the Firehouse!

do you understand trinity?
That's not exactly a rebuttal of my accusation, Syed.

But yeah, sure, the Trinity was not a sticking point for me.
My dad was Dad when I talked to him, Mr. &Co. when my friends talked to him, Mark when Mom or his coworkers talked to him, Merthyn to his parents (his middle name, since his first name was HIS father's). And different aspects of his personality came into play depending on who he was talking to and how much Scotch he'd had.

And that was just a pharmacist at a 200-bed hospital. So it was not a big stretch of the imagination to figure a Supreme Being would have different aspects in different situations and that the distinct facets would have enough power to function as different people from our non-omnipotent viewpoint.

Now, Hell? Hell has always stumped me. But the fact that it stumps me does not drive me to claim that EVERYONE will eventually be driven from their faith because the idea of a loving god setting up a torture-porn studio is offensive. It does not drive me to claim that the injustice of eternal punishment after finite sin will cause all to DISBELIEVE in that particular afterlife model.

I have a problem with the very idea, but plenty of people seem comfortable with it. Or are unwilling to risk discomfort by thinking about it.

You, on the other hand, are quite willing to ignore the actual fact of the Faithful and their dedication to imagine that everyone's going to believe like you do for no better reason than that's what you believe.

And you look like an idiot when you do so.

Is it NOT an actual solution to depression?
If Muslims can be depressed out of Islam, then why believe any depressed people will find Islam better for them in the first place?

You're babbling, Syed.

Yeah, religion tends to do that to people, sadly. Islam and Christianity in particular, of the world religions. Islam and Christianity have a lot in common with lesser known but equally destructive and backward cults and sects.

But it's OK! Don't be afraid, Syed. Atheism is spreading quickly, and that means more people are allowed to learn about different ways to counteract the sad effects of religion and how to escape its terrible bonds, and they are learning that they can be part of a humane community around the world, and not have to depend on a small, closed group of psycho clerics to define the world for them. :)

I think we have to remember that Paul was a Roman citizen, and the Romans found it quite easy to elect war-criminals and other smelly politicians 'gods'. If the Roman colonialists failed to kill Jesus, it seemed then, I suppose, that he wasn't a normal human at all, although he was, and the only answer was the tormented trinity notion, because only that could reconcile their view of Jesus as divine with monotheism. I don't think they came at it without a lot of sweat, fair play.

do you understand trinity?
So why would Christians need the Trinity? That's what Unitarianism is for.

"Unitarianism is historically a Christian theological movement named for the affirmation that God is one entity, in direct contrast to Trinitarianism, which defines God as three persons in one being. Traditional Unitarians maintain that Jesus of Nazareth is in some sense the "son" of God (as all humans are children of the Creator), but that he is not the one God himself. They may believe that he was inspired by God in his moral teachings and can thus be considered a savior, but all Unitarians perceive Christ as human rather than a Deity."

It was good enough for pre-Nicene-creed Christians; it was good enough for Isaac Newton; so what do Christians who figure out the trinity makes no sense need Islam for?

That seems to be a silly question. Why would you think that it would make sense to him when the idea of Allah, Ganish, Odin, Thor, etc. obviously doesn't make sense to him. But then the trinity makes just as much sense as Allah - which is zero sense.

why do deist believe in god ?

The deist god makes more sense than any others tha have been proposed. It created the universe, then left it alone. It doesn't interfere in its creation, which agrees with the evidence against (and the lack of evidence for) divine intervention. It doesn't need worship like the narcissistic Abrahamic god.

If there is, by some small chance, any sort of deity, the deist one is the only one that fits what we see in the universe. Since that also fits the state of no god, and the deist god is an absentee deity, it makes sense to live as if there is no god, even if the deist god exists.

This is what has always puzzled me about the Christian and Muslim crowd. Judaism is where your religion came from. It's the original, the first, and is the most influential and groundwork laying religion on the planet these days. Jews make up only small number of people, but your religion wouldn't exist without theirs. So doesn't it make more sense to go right to the source?

It's like buying things through a middleman when all you have to do is call a different number to buy direct. Many Christians reject Catholicism for this very same reason. Why confess to a priest when you can bend god's ear about how you beat off to internet porn 20 times last week?

As to the appearance of Hindu gods, well... I hope you aren't dating an elephant. You don't seem to know the difference between their physical characteristics and that of a human. Now that'sbad eyesight.

Now that'sbad eyesight.
judaism is for jews, judaism is not universal but a tribal religion

Very nice, Syes. YOU don't understand the trinity, therefore no one understands the trinity.
.
do you understand trinity?
That's not exactly a rebuttal of my accusation, Syed.

But yeah, sure, the Trinity was not a sticking point for me.
My dad was Dad when I talked to him, Mr. &Co. when my friends talked to him, Mark when Mom or his coworkers talked to him, Merthyn to his parents (his middle name, since his first name was HIS father's). And different aspects of his personality came into play depending on who he was talking to and how much Scotch he'd had.
father, son, ghost are one god makes sense to you?
That seems to be a silly question. Why would you think that it would make sense to him when the idea of Allah, Ganish, Odin, Thor, etc. obviously doesn't make sense to him. But then the trinity makes just as much sense as Allah - which is zero sense.

do you understand trinity please explain ?
You missed the point. The Trinity is nonsense just as is Allah, Vishnu, Thor, Odin, Baal, etc. All make no sense at all if anyone tries to make sense of the claims made about them. However, they all make just as much sense as in they make no sense. However, for the believers in each of those religions, they make sense in the context of their particular mythos (which makes no sense in the real world outside their belief).

The deist god makes more sense than any others tha have been proposed. It created the universe, then left it alone. It doesn't interfere in its creation,
.
how do they know that god exist ?
How do the followers of Muhammad know that Allah exists? The some of the answers to that question will answer this one too.
deist god makes more sense to you why?
It isn't contradicted by the properties of physical universe. Most religions (Abrahamic included) make testable claims that have been tested. These claims have been found to be lacking. The predictions made by the Deist religion conform exactly to the physical universe we experience.

He is fiction. That is why atheism is growing so rapidly in Muslim countries and around the world.

People can't be kept stupid and ignorant anymore. :)

You omitted that Allah is also nonsense. They are both equally nonsensical. But the true believer in each religion can somehow overlook the nonsense of their particular religion and somehow accept what their religious leaders and books say.

Can you give examples of why...and what in particular they like?

Ah. That clears things up.

One god, never dies, was never born, always was, and he is unique. Gee, we've never heard that before.

As to this whole "tribal religion" you speak of? What the hell was Mohammed and his gang of merry weirdos, but a tribe? Or were they a pre-existing metropolitan association of men and their pre-pubescent wives who were not a tribe?

From dictionary.com
Tribe: any aggregate of people united by ties of descent from a common ancestor, community of customs and traditions, adherence to the same leaders;

And you can convert to Judaism. It happens all the time. If I wanted to be a Jew, I could start down the path to Yahweh tonight and be chillin' with the Talmud and my yarmulke in no time. But the food sucks and, like all other religions, it's silly.

How is this substantively different from:

Stan, Stan, he's our boy,
If he can't do it, no-one... will.

Rah-rah chants are all very well if you are already a fan; but not one person in history has changed football teams, much less religions, on the basis of such vacuous crap.

Now I'm envisioning ISIS jumping around with pom poms.

I don't think they have a navy, and even if they do, an antiquated anti-aircraft system is unlikely to be useful against modern aircraft.
